I'll cast my vote for the frogs. I like the animal theme also and nearly went that way until I remembered a long distant friend who collected frogs. It's amazing just how many frogs there are in all shapes, sizes and materials. I wouldn't be surprised if they out number gnomes.
Frogs keeps it focused. The theme is clear.

Frogs - though the glow in the dark aspect was interesting... glow in the dark frogs... could pass for zombiefrogs on a dark & stormy night - will need some frog emotions....

I really like the piggy banks idea
I love the Pots and Pans idea more

But what about shoes?

Who sees random shoes lying about, I know I do, all the time. It never ceases to amaze me where people abandon shoes, or just one for that matter.
What muggle would pick up a shoe lying in the bush?
I can see it now, a table full of 'one ofs' shoes with tags on them at an event! Lol!! #-o

i just don't think I could get excited about searching for shoes. I think it helped that the gnomes had some personality.

:stabby

Not shoes please.

They look and are like discarded rubbish, at least Gnomes, Frogs, Animals or other objects look more attractive and less like so much trash.

There were 10 plagues of Egypt, ;) ...Hey There is an idea! Plague Race!

The plagues as they appear in the Bible are
Water (which turned to blood and killed all fish and other aquatic life)
Frogs
Lice
Flies
Disease on livestock
Unhealable boils
Hail and thunder
Locusts
Darkness
Death of the first-born of all humans and animals who did not have marked doorposts

Where would you buy plastic lice? Or would we have to find real ones and wait for them to die?

I get lice from Coles or Safeway. I usually buy long grain, but will sometimes go the short grain. They end up being nano sized caches though, so I usually don't use them for that.

OK, I guess I'll go with the unhealable boils . . .
