I've re-re-restarted work on the GCA site (mobile version) and I'm interested in what browsers on what phones work and do not work with HTML5's geolocation features.
Can you please fire up your web enabled browser and head on over to http://geocaching.com.au/mobile/ (or scan this if you have a phone capable:)
Basically, it's a little hit and miss right now with phones that support HTML5, but I'd like to know in advance what devices support the geolocation services as we can easily implement them in to the mobile site to help find caches nearby.
Report back here with the results (If your phone asks you to share your position with us then allow it for this to work!)
What I'd like to know:
Phone Make / Operating system / OS Rev (if Known)/ Browser / Browser Version/ does it work?
I'll update the table as things progress.
Thanks for your assistance!

Note: The mobile site will still work for those browsers that don't support geolocation, it just means you won't be able to automagically search by nearest or use the 'live' map I'm planning, not a huge issue.
I'm expecting more phones out there WON'T support it, basically New Symbian, Android 1.6 and above and iPhone OS3 and above will probably be the only devices that'll work TODAY, but I would expect all new phones will (well those whose makers believe in Web Standards...sorry WinMo users )
Opera Mini probably doesn't work as the content is rendered at Opera's servers and not on the device itself.
