This is the official list of geocachers who will receive an official 10th Anniversary Pathtag.


To quote myself from the original thread.

We would like to get as many GCA caches hidden and published on the 18-May-2010 as we can as part of the celebration. To encourage you to hide a quality GCA cache we are going to have a special anniversary pathtag minted to be given away as a reward to cachers who hide a GCA cache and have it published on 18-May-2010.

If you hide 1 cache, you will receive 1 pathtag reward. If you hide 2 caches you will receive 2 pathtags rewards. There will be a maximum of 2 pathtag rewards per cacher as long as you hide two caches that meet the requirements (see below).

The pathtag rewards will be produced AFTER the 18-May-2010 so we can accurately count how many we need. We don't want to make too many, nor do we want to make too few. This means that there will be a delay after the anniversary in receiving your reward. You will be notified by email when the pathtag rewards are available so you can provide us your contact details.

As the pathtag rewards will only be given to those who meet the hide requirement, they will be rare and highly valued
We are offering a maximum of two pathtag rewards so you can keep one and trade one.

There are a couple of requirements to be met before you can be considered eligible for the anniversary pathtag reward.

* Your cache must be a physical cache. i.e. A type Traditional, Multi-cache, Mystery / Puzzle cache or Moveable.
* Your cache must be a size regular or larger.
* The hidden date of the cache must be 18-May-2010.
* Your cache must be published on 18-May-2010.

Now that we have reached 19-May-2010 your cache can no longer be legitimately published on 18-May-2010, so qualification for the pathtags has now finished.

I will be submitting the order for the pathtags tonight. They take around 4-6 weeks to manufacture and deliver, so look out for an email from GCA in June with regards to collecting your tags. Please ensure your contact email address in your my/settings is up to date so any advice email gets to your ands doesn't bounce.

The list of geocachers below is the official list of pathtag rewards. If your name appears once, you get one. If your name appears twice your get two. If you believe you qualify, but your name is not on the list, please advise immediately.

There are 292 caches that qualified to be Anniversary Caches. There are 229 pathtags to be rewarded. You are all to be congratulated.

I reckon your generosity got a huge number of caches out there - I know it sure motivated me!

If your order of tags is more then the 229 eg minium order of say 250 I believe that an extra one or two should go to those who put in an extra big effort. ie rogerw3 comes to mind as just one example.

Thanks for the thought JABs but it is not necessary, I did not do this for any reward except the pleasure of hiding the caches and reading the logs.
The 2 pathtags are more than enough, by the way thank you C@W for the tags.

Thanks for the pathtags, I had the added enjoyment of a FTF.

It shows what helps motivate people doesn't it? We did it for fun but the promised reward didn't hurt! If you've got a cache that isn't found often enough for your liking it could be a suitable 'bribe' too.

I think the pathtags were an intitial incentive. But then so many got involved, the hype picked up and it maintained a momentum all of it's own.
