Somewhere over the rainbow, you might diary to look at this

Post by kennythe1st » 18 May 10 11:31 pm

When 10th Anniversary fades and you guys get itchy fingers again, here's a little something to add to your consideration list.

For the first time I watched the rotating display of cache sites on the home page (not quite sure how they are selected as I noticed some repeats eventually). Anyway like any carousel it made me dizzy so I glanced from the cache location to the map and thought so where the b* hell are you :?:

Enter the red dot or twinkle on the map as that cache displays  Just long enough to say hey, Gunga Din is in Arnhem land, not interested.

Easier said than done a.k.a. Kenny

The feed to the ticker is the latest 100 caches for the world, so if you watch it long enough it will indeed repeat.
We do include the locale in the ticker, but not the state. I'll look and see if that can be accommodated. Or maybe I'll see if I can identify your home state and just put up the ticker for your home state.
We can't dynamically put it on the map. It's too CPU intensive.

Okey dokey.
If you have a home state set, you get your state caches.
The link now has the locale, state and country.
