As per this post
caughtatwork wrote:There have been no nominations for either Northern Territory, North Island or South Island.
These positions will remain vacant for this year.
BTW congrats to all the others voted in!

Do understand what this voting was for? I can explain it to you if you want.

If people didn't want to vote that is fine.

...and who are the silly ones??? It makes it hard to complain about a senate when someone didn't bother to have their say at voting time. Each to their own though.

If someone didn't vote, then they didn't care, so they get what other people want because they didn't want to express an opinion.

I agree I was a little disappointed at the voter turnout. Then again, I know how many people voted for NSW and there are obviously a lot more cachers than that. But thinking about it - there probably aren't that many more active members of the forums - at least ones who post.

Then take away the cachers who haven't met either Matt or myself so don't have a personal preference based on knowing someone, and that only one person bothered asking a question about our stance on an issue. It's probably reasonable numbers in fact.

What about the vote for the House of Representatives?

We don't let commoners in, only the lords :-)
Although occasionally Her Majesty, the CraigRat will appear from nowhere, issue a decree such as "off with his head" and disappear for a game of croquet.

The members of GCA are the House of Representatives...we propose the idea, it then gets taken to the senate, and then if it is passed through the senate, the developers than have the last say.

Thanks,
Camstal
