Re: 2000 to 2010 = 10 years of Geocaching in Australia
Don't forget that in order to get an anniversary pathtag, your cache must be a physical cache and it must be size regular or larger.
We welcome all caches to be anniversary caches, but the pathtag reward has a condition on it.There are a couple of requirements to be met before you can be considered eligible for the anniversary pathtag reward.
* Your cache must be a physical cache. i.e. A type Traditional, Multi-cache, Mystery / Puzzle cache or Moveable.
* Your cache must be a size regular or larger.
* The hidden date of the cache must be 18-May-2010.
* Your cache must be published on 18-May-2010. To make the job of publishing your cache on 18-May-2010 easy, GCA makes it possible to future publish your cache listing. Simply create your listing and use the date of 18-May-2010 as the hidden date. When you are happy with your listing, log the cache a log type of Published also with a date of 18-May-2010. Your cache listing will now have the name of the cache in green bold. At this point only YOU will be able to see the listing. On the morning of 18-May-2010 the GCA website will automatically set your cache to live so the rest of the community can see it.

Re: 2000 to 2010 = 10 years of Geocaching in Australia
We hid another one on the weekend and I have 3 others located, written up and ready to go. But I haven't put the containers out yet so I'm playing it safe and won't "publish" until I've done that, just in case.
Re: 2000 to 2010 = 10 years of Geocaching in Australia
I had such fun doing the first series of 10 caches for the 10th Anniversary that I decided to do another series of 10!
That should encourage more traffic along the Great Western Highway, all of the caches can be done by train and walks of various length.
The first Series are:
Katoomba
Medlow Bath
Blackheath
Mt Victoria
Bell
Newnes Junction
Clarence Zig Zag
Zig Zag
Hoskins (Lithgow)
Bracey (Lithgow)
The second series will be:
Valley Heights
Springwood
Faulconbridge
Linden
Woodford
Hazelbrook
Lawson
Bullaburra
Wentworth Falls
Leura
Most caches will have 10th Anniversary Swaggies in them, well 12 of them will anyway.

Re: 2000 to 2010 = 10 years of Geocaching in Australia
This sounds like a fun idea. I had better get the list of jobs on the fridge finished so we can start on this one.....
Re: 2000 to 2010 = 10 years of Geocaching in Australia
2 more caches have been placed today, 10-4 Sr2 Linden and 10-5 Sr2 Woodford are now ready and waiting.
At this rate I will have the time to do a third series of 10 caches!
No don't worry I an only kidding (or am I?)

Wow. I tell you what, these pathtags are going to be rare. There's only 36 people who qualify for a pathtag at the moment, even if I ignore the size requirement.
