We don't really focus on attracting the old school Numbers guys. We do what we do, and if people like it then GREAT.
Sometimes a few shiny objects is all it takes to coax people over and realise it's not all Locationless and close-to-gc-and-couldn't-get-approved caches

Sorry if this sounds dumb, but does this mean we can publish small caches to go towards the gca 10 years total and to get the pathtag?

Yes.

The payer of the pathtags (me) would prefer the largest cache you can hide in your selected area, but if the largest cache you can hide is a small, then so be it and you qualify for the pathtag.

The idea was to avoid 500 micros worth less than the cost of a pathtag, so if you keep to the theory of the largest cache for the area, even if it's small, it will qualify.

Thanks

I'm not planning to hide a micro, but my cache is on the blurred line between regular and small.

It's a virtual event, so you can make your attendance at a time that is suitable to you.
With people from all over the world attending (yes, this will actually be a global event), and in different timezones in Australia, we didn't nominate a specific time.
Come, make your log, note some things about your caching over the last 10 years and enjoy.
The anniversary thread will come up on the 18th at some time.

 How about setting an approximate time to try and set the anniversary record for the most GCA participants online at the same time?

Ahhhh, the numbers.

I reckon it ought to start at midnight so we can comment on all the plans we have for our Anniversary Record Attempts and then we can get back on later in the day and report our results

:P
OK this is it, my last 10th Anniversary cache has been placed, this is a movable cache. I hope there will be many cachers coming to Lithgow, or at least the Blue Mountains to find my 32 caches.
One thing I am sure of, it is that NOBODY will find all these caches in one day, challenge issued, any takers?
Well lets say 31 as the movable may be gone.

My 2 are still in Draft, I'll put them as published when I actually place the boxes. It'll be very close to the 18th because it is the first time hiding caches for me and I don't want them going missing beforehand. Doubly so since they'll both be in playgrounds. (Don't look like creepy people when looking for them and you'll be fine.)

Sadly at 0.8L they are borderline for regular. Hope that still qualifies.

Wow - a lot of new ones listed this weekend. Will we hit the magic "200" mark by Tuesday? \:D/ Good to see!

I'll tell you about a near disaster. Lucky we didn't place our caches early when we first published them. I'd worked out a nice little multi with the hiding spot all worked out. Today we went to place the cache and lo and behold a bulldozer has levelled the area! If it had been there it would have been destroyed - muggling before it was active - a platinum duck in caching terms. Had to find a new hiding spot in the vicinity but as a result I've got to rework the calculation to get the final GZ coords. The good news is the new hiding spot is MUCH better than the old.

Haha - yes, it will be interesting to see how many of the 200 have disappeared between placement and Tuesday! [-o<
