It will be more fun in a fortnight when I won't be online for two weeks as I'll be in NZ and Sydney.

So I suppose your devs are asking you all: "Please don't break anything too much over the next month"
Did I really write that? Well I suppose it's true, I wont be doing any updates to the site in the foreseeable future...

Do I detect an understatement? :( :( :(

Stuff like this reminds me why I've always ripped the HD's out of my computers and locked them away when I travel away from home. I guess I best get back into that habit.

Help with logging in.... obviously I can log in here, and I am also able to log into .com, however when i try to on this site, I get a message saying; Sorry, that username/password isn't on file OR your account has not been activated yet.
I have tried changing my password, but still no good.... any suggestions?

I'm just going through and updating my PQ's according to http://geocaching.com.au/stats/range/ ?
I hadn't noticed this post when it went up, just saw the forum update email when I sent a gca message.

For years I've been calculating my own ranges for all the mainland states, and updating them every few months. It takes me hours, but I get the results I want.

If not for this major "side effect" I'd never have known about http://geocaching.com.au/stats/range/ ?, which is going to save me a lot of time in the future. =D> =D> =D>

Sorry to hear about caughtatwork's break in, I'm still trying to overcome my desktop being dud when I got home last year, but at least I've got my number one laptop and all my cameras. I don't think I could cope with losing as much as caughtatwork.

Any idea why the leap year event on GC.com for WA isn't showing in the events listing on GCA? GC3c8yW

It's now been imported. Looks like WA needs a tweak on the feeds.

Those WA people just need to stop hiding caches, easy.

I'll fix up the WA feed this weekend when I get home.

Just so you know I have noticed that a number of caches haven't been making it to this site over the last few weeks from your feed as I have noticed the caches getting loaded when I load my find logs. This was not my FTF logs as I doubt the feed would load them before I find them and import them but on caches that had been out there for some time with multiple finds before mine.

Thanks for fixing it so quickly!

I too have noticed some caches appearing after I log them. Also not FTF, but have just accepted that we live in 'Wait a while' :?

Not an issue per se but in the forums can the links be set up to open a new tab instead of leaving the site? Most other forums I use do this. I know I can simply right click and select "open in new tab" but if it's not super difficult and a complete waste of time then it would be good to have here. Of course if no one else cares about it then no problem.

It's a hack to get the forum to do this.
http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/links-o ... w-windows/
Compared to phpBB3, links in phpBB2 had a slightly different behaviour: When you clicked them, they opened a new window with the requested page. This was changed in phpBB3 for a couple of reasons, but one of the most important ones was the goal to achieve XHTML 1.0 Strict-validation for the whole board.
I would prefer not to hack the code as when we come to upgrade we need to hack it back in.

I think 'State' needs to look for Western A, not WA, or distance needs to be limited to 2600 km (which will cover Wyndham cachers all the way past Augusta).
