Re: Report GCA Site issues here
We updated the locality calculator about a year or so ago to use the locations as determined by Google Maps.
Sometimes, if the older data is still in the database, you can click on the Update Locality in the navigation on the right hand side and it will get corrected. If it remains the same, then sorry, Google Maps says it's so and that what we end up using.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Minor issues like this are easily solved. Thanks for the headsup.
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Some of us are seeing our Groundspeak caches flagged as archived on GCA when they're not on GC. Setting them to available seems to fix it, but only for a day.
Examples are GC3MVHJ, GC3TA8D, GC3V62G, GC3RTBP. Those are mine and Purplepeopleater's. Rinsemesock's GC3VTP1 looks affected too.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I was trying to make my GSAK find database show the positions of moving caches in the place I actually found them but on some of my FTF ones I cannot work out where the cache was actually published so think there may be a bug/problem in process of the publication of moving caches. As the bingo game relies on a move of > 1km instead of just a move this may cause a problem if the first movers do not get any distance recorded against the move.
From looking at the caches that I could find the original position of and comparing them to the ones I cannot it seems that if the 'Publish' log doesn't have a coordinate attached to the log the published position of the cache is no longer visible and the first move is where the cache seems to start from. The xml downloads seem to confirm this when I looked at them.
OK Cache:- GA3704 was placed at S31° 52.375' E115° 48.134' and the first move was to S31° 51.525' E115° 55.635' and it shows a move distance of 11.92km
One problem Cache:- GA2088 was placed somewhere in Crawley/Nedlands from memory and the first move was to S31° 57.097' E115° 54.873'. It shows no distance but should show quite a few km. The GE xml file shows the cache starting from where I placed it and not where I picked it up from in Crawley/Nedlands.
Can you see if this is a bug or not and whether the original position can be recovered on those caches that seemed to have lost them.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Is there a way I can do a Query that will show my GCA caches that are currently in "future publish" mode? Mostly I want to see them on a map. ?
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
is there a problem with the site? the map is not showing any caches and rss feeds aren't working

Sounds like someone wants to preempt the bingo race
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
No, just want to see a little map with where I put my 7 without other caches on it.Cheesy pigs wrote:Sounds like someone wants to preempt the bingo race
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Only a small issue Google map link doesn't work when there is a brackets in the cache name
Eg http://geocaching.com.au/cache/gcad
