Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I just noticed a small error in http://geocaching.com.au/stats/range/ GC Caches by Hidden Date Range.
Western Australia 6. 11-Aug-12 to 14-Mar-13 994 caches should read 11-Aug-12 to 13-Jan-13 997 caches. I've never seen an error there before.

The feeds are getting more and more behind on what's out there.
I'll re-jig the WA feed this weekend and hopefully it comes right, although we are now at a tipping point where it's becoming almost impossible for us to keep on top of these things.

Is it possible that you and c@w need some help occasionally? I'm not into the deep techo stuff you guys are, but stuff like that is within my capabilities.CraigRat wrote:Yep,WanderingAus wrote:I just noticed a small error in http://geocaching.com.au/stats/range/ GC Caches by Hidden Date Range.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Like Crew 153 I have been maintaining all the WA caches from my GSAK database about every week so the WA feed shouldn't be that much of a problem except for the number of archived that happened just recently.CraigRat wrote:Yep,WanderingAus wrote:I just noticed a small error in http://geocaching.com.au/stats/range/ GC Caches by Hidden Date Range.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I uploaded a bunch for NSW yesterday, which seemed to update a lot of logs and a few statuses. If it's of use I am happy to continue to do so. I realise that CR and C@W do various things to keep the feeds happy, but if you need assistance please just let us know (even via a PM). I have more data allowance each month nowadays than I am going to go close to even with a SmartTV now connected to it.
While in NZ for the mega I was regularly updating the feeds for South Island as I knew that the number of finds likely per day on caches in the area would exceed the logs that would show up if they were only updated every few days (plus that made sure my stats were being updated as well)

I've kicked the database in the bum. Should be OK for a bit longerfluffyfish wrote:Second time I have received this error (first one was on Friday morning).

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I got the same error a few times, closed Internet Explorer, re-opened it, and all good - but was that before or after CR put in the fix?CraigRat wrote:I've kicked the database in the bum. Re: Report GCA Site issues here
the other day I noticed a whole lot of wierd cache codes with "*" at the end.
eg
http://geocaching.com.au/cache/gc3qkvx*
is this a April 1st issue?

No, that would be someone (albida33) importing a file containing smart names.mtrax wrote:the other day I noticed a whole lot of wierd cache codes with "*" at the end.

I'll see if I can clean them up.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I've gotten this error message on the front page a few times recently:
Just thought I'd let you know.
Cheers,
Michael.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Thank you Captain. A few (many) queries fired by the same people running for long times. I've killed them all and things are back to normal.
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I have received this a couple of times lately when trying to log on. Same sort of message when trying the caching page.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Thanks for the headsup. The server continues to struggle under the sheer weight of our success. I've kicked MySQL in the bum and it should be back to normal now.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
What just happened? GCA and the forums seemed to go off line for a bit in the last half hour or so...
