Report GCA Site issues here [closed]
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
North Island, NZ details are really slow lately, almost stalled.
Last week there were no new caches listed but there should of been 20-30.
Top monthly and yearly finders quite a bit out of date. e.g. shows 58 finds for me for September but should be around 150.
thanks in advance

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
The faerie that was feeding us the NZ caches has only been providing food sporadically.
We instituted a new feeder just yesterday and some of the caches and logs are coming through.
It should be another day or so before they all finally feed through.
Given we have been out of contact for a while, you may need to load up your own My Finds PQ to catch your stats up.

There's been a disturbance in the SA feed today as well: I can see your cache from here was marked as archived but isn't.

CR has it on his list of things to kick the SA faerie up the bum. She's been slacking off lately.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
A question on FTF logic in GCA.
If I put a '*FTF*' in my log on a GCA cache when should the logic kick in and the cache show in my first to find list.
I did GA2444 earlier today but it doesn't appear in the list. I've noticed before that a ftf log doesn't always make the cache appear and previously have manually added it through the menu option from the cache page.
Today i submitted the log, noticed an error and then immediately edited the log and saved it if that helps but I don't think that happened the last time I noticed a GCA cache didn't appear in my list.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
the *FTF* tag only works on GC originated caches.
Go to the GCA caches page in question and claim FTF under the 'Actions' options on the right.

Seemed to come right very quickly, thankscaughtatwork wrote:The faerie that was feeding us the NZ caches has only been providing food sporadically.

Where/how do I send a My Finds PQ to get everything back in synch on the GCA site? e.g. GCA still says I have some duplicate finds which I have now sorted on gc.com

You can delete your logs at GCA, so if this happens again http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/statist ... duplicates will list caches with multiple finds. Work out which is the wrong one, hit the edit link (right hand side of the log entry) and delete it.
To catch up, take the My Finds PQ email you got from GC and shoot it at pq@caughtatwork.net
If you only have the file not the email, shoot it at the same email address and attach the ZIPPED GPX file.
That will feed it into the bulk feeder.
Might take an hour or so to run (depending on time of day). It doesn't run during the evenings AEST to keep the system available for user, so if you shoot it through between about 6:00pm and 10:00pm AEST it should run overnight some time.
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Not sure if it's an actual issue, but it's getting pretty hard (for an almost half centurion) to read the names at the bottom of some of the cacher stats graphs. Increasing size/zooming just make the names fuzzy.
Is there a way of separating the stats? Maybe 2000-2005 and 2006-2010? Not sure how that would work of course just tossing it out there - feel free to toss it out completely.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
GC2FCJ2 was published and subsequently the publish was retracted but in the meantime it came through the feed to GCA.
Can it be removed from GCA as it appears on the dashboard for WA and from what I read on the retract notice it may be some time before it does get published again and may be different if it ever does.

This should only impact one chart which is the top cachers by month. Everything else is a set of top 50.McPhan wrote:Not sure if it's an actual issue, but it's getting pretty hard (for an almost half centurion) to read the names at the bottom of some of the cacher stats graphs. There are now 3 charts by year group 2000-2004, 2005-2009 and 2010-2014.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
When looking at these for SA, there is a (US) cacher SEMIK that shows up as leader for a lot of the months. It looks like he's only been here the once though, and that was recently, so somehow all of his logs that he has imported in to GCA have managed to end up in amongst the SA stats?caughtatwork wrote:This should only impact one chart which is the top cachers by month.
