Re: Report GCA Site issues here

[quote="caughtatwork"]What's the problem?
It's a cache that has been published.

Thanks for the reply.
Normally I get an email within 5 minutes of "Publishing" (on the 5 minute mark actually - eg 8:35pm).
I watched this when I published Williams Wilmot Wandering#1 (of 5) -> #5, at 5 minute intervals last Friday night.
But tonight, no sign of an email.

I've run the job in debug mode and it pulls the right detail.
I've checked the mail.log file and the emails were all sent.

One example.

Code: Select all

Apr 25 20:35:05 gcaws postfix/smtp[32727]: B491615C2003: to=<REDACTED>, relay=extmail.bigpond.com[61.9.189.122]:25, delay=0.73, delays=0.37/0.01/0.06/0.
28, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 Message received: 20120425103503.UHHT21787.nschwingx03p.mx.bigpond.com@garmin.geocaching.com.au)
That person was on the list to get the email notification. Are any of the people "missing" the email on internode? They are having problems.

A 2nd example.

Code: Select all

Apr 25 20:35:05 gcaws postfix/smtp[32332]: EFE2615C2008: to=<REDACTED>, relay=extmail.bpbb.bigpond.com[61.9.168.122]:25, delay=0.73, delays=0.25/0/0.33/0
.15, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 2.0.0 2Ab31j00Q1NaKG401Ab3H4 mail accepted for delivery)
A 3rd example.

Code: Select all

Apr 25 20:35:03 gcaws postfix/smtp[32332]: 61A17D872C: to=<REDACTED>, relay=mx1.hotmail.com[65.55.37.104]:25, delay=1.7, delays=0.31/0/0.56/0.79, dsn=2.0.
0, status=sent (250 <20120425103502.61A17D872C@garmin.geocaching.com.au> Queued mail for delivery)
They all appear to have gone out. Maybe they just haven't arrived.

Strange - I published at 8.30pm tonight, and haven't received on, nor has a friend. I'm just waiting to hear from a third person.

Also, have just published a locationless http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga4366 and that hasn't sent an either.
I guess they are "in the mail".

You won't get a Locationless alert as it has no actual location.

This is from the Alerts Table.
Spreyton22 V = Virtual
Spreyton22 Z = TrigPoint
Spreyton22 T = Traditional
Spreyton22 E = Event

You do not have an alert for Mystery / Unknown caches, nor for locationless so you aren't getting alerts for those. Does your friend have them set up? Let me know who they are and I can check what they have set.

CR, locationless caches will be "alerted", we just ignore the "radius" setting.

Distance: 420.87 km
Direction: South

Bit far for me to worry about :-)
I tend not to do puzzle caches any more. I don't have time to spend on them.

Works for me.
Might have been an intermittent problem.
