Report GCA Site issues here [closed]
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
For the past few days, I haven't received my daily GCA email. I've tried looking around the site to see if I accidentally changed my options, but I can't even find where I enabled this option now . Is there a problem with the emails or have I done something strange?

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
More than likely it is due to a problem with Cisco Ironports that have accidenlty been told to block mail from a large chunk of IP addresses, including those that internode fall inside of. For a rough explanation have a read here .caughtatwork wrote:Toriaz wrote:For the past few days, I haven't received my daily GCA email. We're sending, it's not being bounced, your ISP appears to be off the radar.Code: Select all

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Has anyone else been having problems with their Queries? I keep getting a count of zero for any new or updated queries - which unforunately includes the one the generates GPX files for close to home. I've also tried updating/amending some of my interstate queries and they change to a count of 0 as soon as I edit them. Now I'm too scared to keep playing in case I ruin the few queries that I have that are still working? Am I the only one with the problem? I assume that everyone from GCA has been at the Mega over Easter, so don't know if its related to that somehow.

Just having a look now.
Weird. It's only you. Why? I have no real idea. I've put in a fix which should solve the problem. What browser and version are you using?

Dont think any of us were there...could be wrong though... but I doubt it's related... I'll have a lookJustinCBR wrote:I assume that everyone from GCA has been at the Mega over Easter, so don't know if its related to that somehow.
[EDIT: looks like c@w already is on the case]
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Thanks for your quick responses. I was getting the problem again and have just been having more of a play and it looks like its related to IE9. After the query stops working, if I open the query to update it in Firefox or on my Android phone, don't change anything, but click update, the query starts working again. It must be another undocumented Microsoft 'feature'.

Transferring Ownership of GA Caches
Can I effect an adoption of one of my GCA geocaches simply by editing the ownership name? Have transferred GCs before but never a GA. Thanks.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Nope. We don't have an adoption process for GCA caches. Just post here WHAT (the GAcode) and the WHO (case sensitivity for the cacher, please) and we'll manually adopt it across.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I've made this it's thread initially, but I suspect it should be here ...
hi all - I've just published http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga4359 tonight but I (and a few others I've contacted) haven't received an email alert for it.
Any ideas ?

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
What's the problem?
It's a cache that has been published.
So anyone who has a alert ( http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Cache_alerts ) set up for this area will get an email saying there is a new cache ready to be found.
That's the way alerts work.
