Report GCA Site issues here [closed]
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Yep it comes up but when I try to add points it just refreshes the page and stays the same instead of removing that particular cache from the list subtracting the points from my total as it usually does when I add points.

How many points are you allocating?
I just logged in a you and added the maximum points, clicked the button and it works. Do the others? You need give them a value, y'know
If it's still not working, what browser and version number please.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Now I'm trying to figure out what I was doing wrong this morning. It's working just fine, exactly as it has every other time I've added points to a GCA cache to change it's orientation
I"m sorry to mess you about C@W..... No idea what I was doing, and I play with Dragonzone points all the time because it's kinda fun so it's not something I usuallly find challenging

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I seem to be having a problem that prevents me editing my draft caches.
I have a few left over drafts from Bingo that I was going to use up on gnomes but I can't get into the draft to edit. I thought it was a problem relating to Android as it first occurred a few days ago when I was using a tablet but it continues now I'm home and using XP Pro on a desktop PC.
I access my draft caches via "Site Map", "My Account". I select the draft cache and click on edit. It does nothing. If I right click to "Open in new tab", I simply get a repeat of the "My Account" page.
I've two gnomes sitting here (GA5771 & GA5715), anxious to be racing, but I can't get them out there because I've already numbered them but can't edit the draft. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Further to the above, Friesianess has just been launching some gnomes, using my PC. She used the same technique and had no problem getting into her draft cache's editing page. Seems to be a problem specific to my account.
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Hey, problem gone! I thought I'd give it one more try and straight in.
Is this the faeries on the job or did I just get lucky? Thanks, these gnomes are eating us out of house and home. Out the door they go!

I too had that problem as well as tbh, Gwiber & Gwawr when they were creating gnome entries.nutwood wrote:I seem to be having a problem that prevents me editing my draft caches.

Clicking on 'edit' on the right of the list in the account page gives the url 'http://geocaching.com.au/my/account/cache/ga5596' and just shows the account page again
Clicking on the name of the cache instead of 'edit' gives 'http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga5596' which takes you to the cache page.
'edit this cache' from the cache page gives the url 'http://geocaching.com.au/my/cache/ga5596' which does take you to the edit page.
It seems that the two 'edit' actions have two different url addresses with the one that doesn't work having 'account' in the middle of it.
The problem still existed for me just then when I checked.
Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Thanks Chwiliwr, that's exactly what was happening to me, except I wasn't able to even click on the name and get a result, it kept going to the "account" page regardless. I thought it a problem with android as I have a few little issues on the site when using android.

Not sure if this is just me or not but this cache page won't load correctly: http://geocaching.com.au/cache/gcj8hp
Looking at the HTML, there appears to be a start comment tag in there for no apparent reason: (and with no end comment tag)
Any ideas why?

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I'm having an issue with the GPX log importer. I have created a GPX file with GSAK and it has one cache with one log in it. I load it into GCA and is gives "Logs imported: 0" with no errors but yet the log does not appear on the cache in question.
Any ideas? I can email you the GPX file if that helps.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I don't come here often but today I get this.
Warning: mysqli_connect() [function.mysqli-connect]: (08004/1040): Too many connections in /var/www/site/gca/include/gca_database.php on line 14
Warning: mysqli_error() expects exactly 1 parameter, 0 given in /var/www/site/gca/include/gca_database.php on line 15
Could not connect:
Also seems to be a loading issue with Map, Bring up Tassie Map, Loads ok, but as soon as I move to the area I wish to visit today or zoom in they all disappear. May be best if I stick with GC only. Thanks just thought you may wish to know.
Just tried to post this and got.

At the very top of the Export GPX dialogue box in GSAK you can select the version of GPX file. Make sure it is set to 1.0.Laighside Legends wrote:I'm having an issue with the GPX log importer.
