Post by SamCarter » 16 June 09 2:05 am

I reckon the next couple of days -- or perhaps the end of the week, but not much more -- will see the attainment of a significant milestone:

Wow! That's quite a few members.
I think there was less than two thousand when I joined up.

Your userid is 477, so yes, somewhat less.

This calendar year (so far) we have approved 1,689 users and deleted 1,420 spammers.

Thank the gods that we have some diligent people reviewing each account otherwise this place would be a sea of spam and porn.

I'm bored.
Now I'm going to bed :-)

No, each time a user signs up they get a unique number, if an account is deleted, that number is not re-used.
We are up to UserID of about 13800 or something

Sorry for the misunderstanding Craigrat, my post was two seperate statements hence the new paragraph.

Yes, we up to 13K+, thanks to our good friends mainly. I just don't see where this forum 9987 vs 9996 of Mcphan is missing. :?

If I recall correctly, unapproved members may influence the number that you see, it's only once we delete them that you'll get a true number. It will fluctuate during the day till one of us gets a chance to kill off the baddies.
