<p>DNF could be a nastily prophetic name though if something is flaky

I forgot to say at the start that there won't be voting, we (the developers) will pick something we can happily work with. (While Electric_Boogaloo_1 and 2 might be good names in theory, we'd get mighty sick of using those names in the code

)
Keep those suggestions coming, although I am surprised no one has mentioned the obvious ones yet

How about Craigrat and Caught@work?

That way we can blame the servers for any issues.
Failing that, how about Server 1 and Server 2?

Not something that I would use, but since CR is looking for the obvious, how about free and open
At the end of the day, it wont matter too much, but it's got to be something easy for you guys to type, as long server names are just a PITA

How about Burke and Wills
Both explorers of Australia as we all are. And a buried cache was left under a tree for them, if only they had GPS in those days!

Garmin & Magellan?
The flashy public face of Server 1 would have to be Magellan; and the Server 2 database side that does all the work and helps you actually find what you need would naturally need to be Garmin...

They were what I was expecting within 1 or 2 submissions (Love your explanation of them

Server 1 will be the public facing server for the website and
Server 2 will be the 'brains' of the operation, holding the database
using the above functions of the servers
server1 - searcher
server2 - cache

searcher n cache..... it actually sounds like a crook cop show

aussie explorers is a fantastic theme! it allows expansion to multiple servers and doesn't confuse the developers' communication by naming it after something already on gca (eg "are you talking about the server called 'cache', the table called 'cache' or the data 'cache' that avoids us hitting the database too much)
sadly b&w weren't exactly great explorers, but there are others, like stuart who was incredible!

I've always liked Charlotte as a web server name.
