DOH! Beaten by Wingaap! That will teach me to trust my memory rather than waste time searching for "Boags" in GCA!

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner*

Boags was indeed the potential sponsor. Their offer was in conjunction with their new premium blonde beer which was all about new and exciting (marketing remember) and they thought that Geocaching was a great way to combine the two.

We baulked at a number of things they had to offer including (but not limited to) wandering into the bush with an alcohol company as the sponsor could be an issue as well as walking along the ridge line of a mountain or anything to do with driving. Kid friendly was another issue and the general association with a brewer for those who have issues with alcohol (phsyical or psychological)

We knew that people had an issue with alcohol, so we tried to determine a way that we could combine the two, but ultimately we had to pass.

*No winning prize, void in all states except where prohibited, prize limited to )$0.0000002, prize to be shared equally amongst all winner and non-winners.
