Not sure about the rest of GCA members....but this current server speed is driving me nuts.

So if you've seen quite a sizeable chunk added to donations and in fact reached the current target...I guess that's how peeved I am.

Hope we can now get on with the job and get a new server up and running.

Cheers...sirius Tas

We are dependant on time and i!/riblit at the moment.
Your good graces of cashola are very well received and we will move ahead as soon as time permits.

Hi C@W,
Many thanks...I certainly appreciate all the work and money that the rest of you guys(Developers) have put in during past years...and I know this has been quite substantial ....obviously these sites take an incredible amount of work to look after and keep developing....hopefully if we can get a sponsor on board at some stage this would certainly take some pressure off.
Regards..sT.

The goal posts got moved because we kicked a lot of goals. We have sufficient funds, we just need to get the job done now.

In that case, I think the donation thermometer on the front page could be misinterpreted. It appears that the webserver will only be replaced when the target, $10K, is reached. If the original goal has been met, then it should be clear that people are donating money that is in excess of the original requirements, and what that money might eventually be used for.

Excellent point and one that I had not anticipated.
All money donated will be used for the server. There will be yearly costs associate with a server, but that is not clear from the thermometer. I'll think of a way to make it clearer.
Thanks for the feedback.

I too noticed that the thermometer had changed and thought "That's a bit Cheeky!"

But that is obviously not the cache( ) and its great that the target was exceeded. Maybe the old thermometer needs reinstating?

On a new thread someone mentioned occasional slow periods. Not for me - its always sloooowwwww!

Looking forward to the new set-up and many thanks to all involved for the efforts. :D
