sweet they're showing now \:D/
Thanks Richary!!!

Unfortunately this is the third time I've had overseas caches missing. I totally understand why only caches from only specific countries are refreshed, so I'm wondering if the GCA developers think it would be hard to create a simple form that accepts a GC number and adds it to the list of caches which get refreshed overnight??
I have php/mysql experience and would be happy to help if required.

I pretty sure that isn't possible... but I'm not entirely sure why - groundspeak doesn't like it I think...

We have the capability to do it, but we won't as it will get our site blacklisted no doubt. It's in violation of a lot of the terms of service for that site.
FYI: We don't grab data by scraping in any way shape or form.

To be frank, if you want to keep your overseas stats up to date then it's your responsibility to do whatever is needed to do that. We have made this site as much self serve as possible. GC have made it easy to get all your finds data and dump it on our site.

We don't mind grabbing the odd handful every now and then, but if it gets frequent then we will start to push back a bit!
Our time is limited and better spent keeping the site moving.

Correct.

That and we are honestly not concerned with caches that are not in AU/NZ, they are well outside our scope.

Fair enough, just a suggestion as a means of not having to hassle you guys ever.
Thanks for the great work you have done to create GCA!
Cheers,

I seem to be missing cache log information for GC39857. Originally it was logged as a note while I waited for the FTF to occur prior to logging mine. Anyway on GC.com I recently updated it to found. Upon import of my finds into GCA it had said in the list that this cache log was updated to "Found it". However when I look at the list of my finds in GCA it only has updated the date it has not changed it from a note to a found or even updated any of the log itself. I have imported a my finds query and a GPX of that cache listing with no luck.

I've removed the log, try importing it again.

Ah - that explains my missing forum stars/finds. I hadn't realised the overseas one weren't automagically imported, so once I figured out that was where my problem lay I did a DIY GC finds import into GCA. Now my stats stars match my profile counters \:D/ :D

One problem I had with that though is when I tried to use the GPX file of my finds I exported from GSAK, the file was way over the 2MB limit - like about 8MB for 1200 caches. (I followed the instructions in the wiki(?) re export settings) In the end I used the GC My Finds pocket query which was well within the size limit. I'm presuming the size difference was all the logs (maybe even images?) from other uses that are in my GSAK cache entries.

:-$

The limit is around 8mb nowadays.

Guys, I'm sorry if this has been asked but I couldn't find it.

I notice now when I upload my finds after a run I quite often see a lot of messages saying,
Updating date of log. Now I export from GSAK and was worried i was doing something wrong but I have checked a few of these logs and what is in GCA is the same as GC which is the same as GSAK so I was wondering what is causing it.

The date in the GPX file from Groundspeak can be wrong.
ClydeE via GSAK has a workaround that attempts to fix the date.
When we get the daily feeds some will be wrong.
Uploading a GSAK file updates those formerly different dates.
You're doing nothing wrong, Groundspeak is.

Hi, just wondering, if as a Member, not Premium, if there is an easier way of getting my 'lost logs' back in the count?
I have JUST loaded GSAK, but it is empty, until I download the waypoints from the borrowed Vista GPSr, but it doesn't have the ones I've done!
What I seem to be missing (after reducing duplicates) are:
12/3/13, YET ANOTHER OUTLOOK, GC2KQQX
31/1/13, Veterans Affair, GC42V7X
20/12/12, Combination Alpha, GCKR9F
20/12/12, KA LIN GA, GCYH7T
19/12/12, Dam Gates!!, GC3B018
19/12/12, Hardy's Lookout, GC2P2HF
18/12/12, Where eagles dare, GC3D7KQ
18/12/12, Tugun Hill III, GC2W6EB
10/12/12, 137 MNCW - Riverside 2, GC3P2Q0
9/12/12, 136 MNCW - Riverside 1, GC302PY

Being spread over a few months I don't understand how just a few are missing.

Looks like the faeries didn't get those logs when they were created.
They have now been imported.
