timezones [closed]

Post by Richary » 18 May 04 11:23 am

Any ideas why I can't get it to remember my timezone is GMT+9.5, not GMT+10? It says it has saved the changes but when I go back into profile it hasn't changed. Tried both with and without the password.

Croweaters have no right to laugh at any timezone jokes, living in one as they do...

How many referenda to adopt EST or EST-1 have been lost because someone said it'd mean the west coast farmers would have to get up too early?!

I wish someone here would tell the real estate agents that Dubbo is ten years behind. How can I be living west of the Balck stump and Iornbark and be looking at Newcastle suburbs realestate prices.

Based on that were up with the rest of the east coast excluding those ares within two hours of Sydney innercity. Dubbo cops a lot of flack here but being a hub centre between each of the major cities it is a stick and sh!t scenario saving for a house here. Must have something going for it.

Double that for Canberra. We're starting to show the signs of being Southern Sydney. They are even talking about our airport being the second Sydney airport.

I own two properties in Canberra. The one I live in (a two bedroom townhouse) has nearly tripled in value since 1998, and my three-bedroom house in inner-north Canberra (investment), doubled in just two years to be more than $440 000.

How one can afford to live in inner Sydney or Melbourne? I do not know.

Back to the topic of timezones - try spending some time in Kununurra, WA. They are close to Darwin (latitude-wise), but on Perth's time zone. The Sun rises around 3 am some mornings and it's dark by 5.30 pm

on investigation this looks like a bug in the forum database setup
the timezone column in the database is declared as an integer, so when the forum software inserts 9.5, the database turns it into an integer

we have modified the database to allow decimal places. so try again now.
