There should be a prize for the best moveable "awkwardness photo" lol
Good idea - except if you go solo like me. Juggling cache, GPS, backpack, camera, argh! :P

Today was the first time I logged but left one in place - struggled to get to it, suspected a retrieval would end up with me taking a dunking... Luckily I didn't need the number for my Bingo cards.

Can you let me know what happens if it becomes MIA forever? [-o<
If it goes missing, you place an "Archived" log against. That archived the cache. If it turns up again you place an "Unarchived" log against it to reactivate it. Your place in the game is not affected by any archived caches.

Ok, they will show up after i log where i have placed them!!!!! ?
Yes! Provided its more than 1km
LouiseAnn is correct. You move the cache and this website will calculate the distance. On the hour (each hour) the games website gets the data from GCA and updates the moves. It can take 10-15 minutes to update the game card. i.e. Don't panic if they don't show up in the first few seconds. With 600 caches to update it takes a little while. They should then show up green on your cards.

What are you going to do for the rest of the game?

Our pleasure, and thank you for the numbers you've relocated! Still seven numbers to go though for a clean sweep. :D

Sleep would be good, but we would like to know if 82 and 85 are in Tassie or in draft form.

We have both 82 and 85 in draft form and will have out ASAP. Also #25, so you can sleep easy. All is provided for. :D

Just a comment for future games. I see (and share) a big big frustration in people looking for moveables that have already been found. Maybe for next year's game, a general guideline could be about logging a FOUND within say an hour (it's not that hard with mobiles/ipads/tablets/free wifi). Quite a few people in the Launceston region today have been looking for caches that weren't there. I understand this is part of a moveables game, but a time limit /guideline for logging a found would be nice (just out of courtesy) to save people long drives and wasted time and effort.

While I generally dislike writing short logs, I do have the technology to log a found straight away (as long as I am in a mobile service area) so I do tend to on a moveable. But the downside is I won't write a long log on the iPhone keypad.

At the same time I recognise that not all cachers have mobile data available, and especially if out of area may not be able to log in a hurry. It's part of the game I guess, and if I hit an area and start getting a few DNFs I will assume someone has been through before me. OTOH if I have another with me, I will just do a swap so the next person has something to find.

Last I knew Launceston had good internet coverage. Obsessed with finds to the detriment of others is no excuse as far I am concerned!
