It's quite surprising how many of us were out frogging today! Just in Sydney that I know of, I put out a power trail of 7 frogs at 7am, richary went along and swapped them all around and then Zalgariath came along to find them again. Tronador was also up early gathering a pile of frogs which rogerw3 missed out on after his 3 hour train trip.

Poor Rog! I was lucky Richary FIFO'd for me... I was beginning to think Blossom was drunk and put the wrong frogs out hahaha

Zal texted me that he initially thought you must have been drunk  when you put them out as they were all not the frogs he was expecting, but then he realised I had been through  . Luckily I was doing Frog In :frogette Frog Out :frog starting with the 4 I grabbed from Parramatta Park yesterday.

We did the family Christmas thing last night so I was free this afternoon to go out.

I saw all the Rookwood ones going there, but figured that tronador would beat me to them given I had a sleep in. I've still got 4 from the power trail, now where to put those tomorrow?

There is a rule that if a frog is moved overseas and not found within a week the mover can move it again. I would like to see that implemented for all hides, that if you have moved a frog somewhere and after one or two weeks of it sitting there it can be moved again by that person to somewhere more likely to get a move.

My proposal is that if you move a frog and it hasn't moved in two weeks, the last mover can move it again without breaking the 2 finder rule.
I have to agree as well. There's one (Brains the Zombie Frog) I placed about 200 metres from home and it's been sitting there two weeks. I feel bad about it but can't do anything short of creating a second GCA ID for Yurt Jnr.
I plan on picking up a few of the stranded frogs on the north side today but won't be able to grab that one.

We need to get Rog to warn us in advance of his leaving home what his plans are, either on the forums or the cache page. At least that way we can do FIFO so he has something to find.

I will try to get up there tomorrow. I'm on call but as long as nothing breaks I am free to drive around. Have to drop Anna at Top Ryde for midday so I can cruise up that way after that. Better check that any frogs I leave in the area are ones you can move on!

Here's an interesting stuff up.
This frog http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga3530 was found lurking near a gc.com cache http://coord.info/GC35QJP
A cacher who found the gc.com cache, and didn't know about the Frog Race, thought it had escaped from the cache, and has put it inside the cache.

I have emailed the cacher and put a mtce log on the frog.

Didn't quite get all of them, but made a large dent. Had to leave a few for you to play with.

That'd be my frog. Thanks for the heads up gmj3191. I've pm'd a local cacher to investigate and retrieve if he can.

Cheers

I've had an email from WEEO who is the cacher who stumbled upon the frog and put it in the cache.
He said he'd restore things today.
It will get fixed one way or another.
I also tipped him off to the existence of GCA.

Tuena investigated and didn't find the frog. Sounds like WEEO is moving the frog on.

Stupid question and I am sure it has been asked before: Where can I find a map of the past movements of a frog? Something like the trackables on gc.com: http://www.geocaching.com/track/map_gm.aspx?ID=2722834

Thanks

I recall something being done like this for the gnomes but not sure where to look.

I'm not sure that this is implemented for the Leap Frogs. Would be a great idea and very interesting. :frogette :frog

If you go to the individual frog page and click on Google Earth on the lower right hand side. It will open up a kml which will show the movements of that frog.

Is this what you mean?
