Hmm ... screen goo kit for US$200 plus p&p, or go to your local Spotlight store and grab some thermal backing for about $8-10/m? Worked for us a couple of years ago ... even if it did take three trips to Bunnings to get the right number of brackets for the frame :D

Attended a gathering earlier in the week where several new 'coins' were set loose - was amazed to see seveal people with rather heavy binders full of geocoins they'd collected. The coins here seem to be evolving into two distinct types - the traditional TB style that can be tracked online, and a 'ch...

... Means your bug's finders will always know what it's doing ... Unless your bug has miraculously achieved its goal, and subsequently gets re-assigned :) Smurf's sister GeoJo has a travel bug on his way to Liverpool, but we've managed to encourage fellow cachers to bring him up to Seattle to visit...

The comment was on the gc.com front page before the episode had even screened on the west coast ... news travels fast in cyberspace. We thought it was a pretty tenuous link to geocaching ourselves - more of a cameo than a theme!

Maybe so, but that doesn't guarantee others won't be so thoughtful. Plus it doesn't always take the height of summer to melt chocolate (at least it didn't in Adelaide when we were there). Personally I don't think any food items are appropriate swaps, and I usually swap out food items I have found in...

Re: Good / Bad swaps

* Food (all food is inappropriate for all caches);<br>[/quote Sorry but this is Australia and Tim Tams and Freddos are quite OK. Disagree - chocolate (anything sugary, really) in confined spaces in an Australian summer does not do much for the inside of a cache container. Nothing worse than having ...

I've always wondered why bottled water advertises 'thousands of years' of filtration from glaciers through pristine mountains etc, but then still puts a use-by date on the bottle??!!

Go with the GSAK option - less likely to break, and we might even get an 'export to GCA' button in an upcoming release!! Looking forward to the implementation :D

oops we forgot to account for ampersands in the title of rss and kml feeds. we've fixed them and they seem to work now we fixed the popularity and hitlist links so they include your encoded cacher name, however the links don't work anyway so we have temporarily removed them to reduce confusion for ...

User names with '&' [closed]

Just tried out the new site features - great stuff! In an introspective moment, we tried out the rss links and the google earth file for ourselves ... and things promptly turned to custard  Suspect it's got something to do with the '&' in our user name - - clicking on the rss feed link gives t...
