Re: Blitz
This is a general comment but the sentiment has been for a long, long time "this is someone else's problem". We need money to run the site (we hope "someone" will stump up the funds). We need more geocaches (we hope "someone" will produce marketing materials or campaigns). We want people to stop ta...

Re: Blitz
Yes it looks like 2000 finds will not be achieved during blitz. Now there will be another problem. From the "2021 planning" topic which says games June/July 2021 most GCA hunters will have found everything for the Blitz games and there will be nothing near to find. I know that will be the case for ...

Re: Blitz
Oh - by the way - I am not after the path tags prizes - Personally, I think they should be removed from the Games.

Re: Blitz
It’s a little disappointing that we will get nothing from this current blitz game. Then y'all need to try harder :-) You still have the weekend to encourage people to get out and find some GCA caches. Try a little harder - I have done two weekends of driving over 600 kms a day to get the caches I h...

Re: Blitz
A locationless challenge favours the people who are retired and have time to sit at a computer doing jigsaws.
Also it doesn’t encourage people to get out and about, which is a key aspect of geocaching.

Re: Moveables
Hi CaughtatWork
I certainly dont want moveables removed, just suggesting another option that might work. Moveables do tend to get found and sit in peoples cars for a while and I think Goose was just suggesting a way of getting them moved on quicker.

Movables
I think this is a very very good idea , so thought I would break it out of the Blitz game thread Post by gooseandegg » 18 April 21 8:58 pm A lot of movables sit dormant for most of the year, and even get archived because admin thinks they are lost of missing, and then they suddenly appear in droves ...

Re: Blitz
Gee Oldfella, That's not good at all, and makes it very hard for people to contribute to the Blitz idea. We have been lucky in Tasmania that a number of GeoArt's were published recently, and those people that had not found them already (like myself) have been able to go and complete these. Although ...

Re: Gca on iPhone
Hi Richardy, but it’s not a direct communication to the web site, so you have to go and log on a computer when you get home, etc. maybe from field notes, but still not like a newbie Is going to understand that. They just want to find and log a cache

Gca on iPhone
Hi. I know this is old debate, but the rise of the phone gps caching brings into the question why there is no GCa iPhone app. I understand it is expensive, but maybe the community could do a “go fund me” to pay for the app. This could bring more people to gca? Currently we are kind of cutting off ha...

Re: Blitz
4 days into the Blitz (26% of the way through) and as a community we are 16% of the way to the goal of 2000 finds
We certainly need to pick up the pace if we are going to get the goal

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here
Thank you Guardian
I hope you are staying safe in Melbourne, although Dragon Guardians are immune from virus if they choose to be?
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here
Hey Does GA17151 make dragonzone points worthless? If this sort of virtual movable gets dragonzone points, you could easily set up a few dozen of these and pass them between members of one clan, many times a day. (You could even pass them between two people over and over again, racking up hundreds o...
