Moneydork should be on this list now, and he'd be a close second.Yurt wrote:And Australia here:Bundyrumandcoke wrote:I would like to read the profiles of the 6 cachers with over 50000 finds.

Re: Android Upgrade
I've looked for a way to upgrade MBL's A50 to something beyond 2.1, to no avail. It never sold well enough to have a user base big enough for anyone to bother porting CyanogenMod or similar to it. If the Groundspeak app now requires 2.2, then I'm afraid you're out of luck. What you can do, though, i...

Re: Claiming a find but log not signed.
They're not really hurting anything other than their own reputations for honesty, assuming that they didn't actually find the caches. I guess there could be valid reasons for not signing the physical logs, but I can't think of any offhand, and they can't complain if the caches' owners delete their f...

Re: Permanent ban on small, high powered magnets in Australia
The ones small enough to be a swallowing threat to kids are too small to hold up any container much bigger than a (shudder) Eclipse tin.
So, I'm all in favour of this move if it helps stem the tide of boring little micros!

Look around. In a place with lots of muggles? Put cache on ignore list and go and find a better one.

Re: Geo Art?
There's been a few that are "puzzles" with the GZ coords in plain text. It's just someone too lazy to either find places for Trads that fit their pattern, or to make real puzzles or multis to get inaccessible bogus coords.

Re: I need to replace my Asus Eee
When MBL was looking for a very light travel computer, the Macbook Air was the hottest contender. (I eventually talked her into an iPad+keyboard option, similar size but much cheaper!)
Worth a look. The specs are great, and you can run Windows on it if you want continuity of OS.

Re: I need to replace my Asus Eee
So, what's the EEE no longer doing well enough for you? That'd help with knowing what it is you're looking to upgrade.
Battery life? (You could get a new battery, if it's just the old one wearing out...)
Speed?
HD space?

Strangely enough, Chrome (from Google) seems to work well with Maps (from Google!)

Instead of going back to IE8, why not go forward to another browser entirely?
Firefox, Chrome, Opera... all worth a look!

Re: R U OK - Depression & Geocaching.
MBL is a registered psychologist and a counsellor, so I know about depression from her analytic point of view as well as my own experience. Like many males in their 40s, I went though a rough patch where I was struggling to find reasons to get out of bed in the morning. There was a vicious cycle wit...
