Bad Bad Bad!
Imagine if it became common and known - caches would never be safe from muggles!
If I find any money I take it, then double it and donate it to charity. Over $50 over the years.

Except it does paperless geocaching somehow!
I'd like to know where they hide the magnifying glass. Seriously.

Re: Cache contents what do you leave and why?
And I can't let these go! I don't think anyone cares any more This is a LARGE cache, and it’s full of treasure. There are fine fabrics, precious stones, exotic fragrances, jewelry, antiques and money. Lots of money. And it averages 4 finds a year ](*,) It is also a rather harder than average cache t...

Re: Cache contents what do you leave and why?
The whole swapping thing actually started with the first cache, which wasn't a geocache, but an opportunity provided by the placer to swap things of some value. When caching took off the swap thing continued. Many of the first caches around the world were actually lidded buckets, so as to enable thi...

Re: Android Geocaching Apps
I avoid typing into my smart phone as it is way too slow and fiddley for me. I agree. I am only looking at trying it as an alternative to a laptop, which I currently don't have, at the end of the day. I just make a voice recording and replay it while I am writing the logs with that marvelous GSAK "...

Re: bulk downloading to my GPS
That is interesting! I have always felt that Caching maps were not as good as they could have been (GC.com doesn't show you the location of solved puzzles/finals, Ozi means using a whole other application). This may be the answer! It's only been around since 2006 which would explain why I hav...

Re: Android Geocaching Apps
I still prefer to post via GSAK because - - yes typing on a smart phone is not as easy - I then have a record in GSAK (although I could download the logs from GC.com) - I also update my GSAK notes at the same time - very useful when people PAF me - I can edit more easily in GSAK, and - I can log to ...

Re: Android Geocaching Apps
Uploading Android Logs to GSAK. For those who may be interested, I have hit upon a method to create my logs on the Galaxy and upload them into GSAK. Not as dead simple as using a laptop, but if you don't have a laptop, and still want to log using GSAK, it works. Details are - Create the log on the G...

Re: Android Geocaching Apps
I recently got a Samsung Galaxy and one of the first things I did was of course to find and read this topic. Many thanks to those who contribute to it. I downloaded NeonGeo and have been VERY happy with it. Easy to use, great maps, cache data easy to access and read, particularly on that lovely big ...

Yurt wrote:Then there's the meaningless "found with 2ndDude" which means even less when 2ndDude's log is "found with FirstDude". I feel so happy for them!!
And then it is repeated as a cut and paste for all finds on the day/trip. No respect for the cache owners I am afraid.

Re: Forgotten to log caches.
After caching for over 6 years I have found that one bit of technology seems to work best. Actually two -
A piece of organically derived flat white very thin sheet, and a container of specific secretion blue fluid.
Works every time!
Except when forget to apply them of course! Doh!

Re: Australian Power Trails
I certainly wouldn't be putting the likes of Rail Ride or Bellarine Rail Trail as Power Trails. 12 or 14 caches spread apart make for a small series only. It is also clear that those who have completed Woodlands have by and large enjoyed the experience. The logs on #100 make that pretty clear. http:...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
You come to a flooded path and there is no other way to get to the cache on the other side so instead of turning around saying you'll come back another day, this time, you take your shoes and socks off and wade across..... see log You know you've just crossed some sort of obsessed line when you do ...
