Hi caughtatwork - Sounds interesting. Is that currently being used for GC caches? Do you have an example?caughtatwork wrote:http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Codeword
We have introduced a new method of verifying that you have found a cache called a codeword. ...........

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Hi - Is GC cache log importation working ok at the present? I seem to have quite a few wagga wagga finds I logged well over a day ago on GC not yet showing up. Might be just slowed by the sheer volume perhaps? Thanks. Imports are working. Wagga caches are going to be problematic due to the volume. ...

Re: Power Trails: an (ammo) can of worms
I was visiting a equipment hire place a week or two back to hire a trailer, and I noticed they have some excellent equipment for sowing grass seeds. Basically a giant hopper with a rotating mechanism underneath to throw the seeds some distance. Now I'm sure with a bit of ingenuity, this could be ada...

Re: Power Trails: an (ammo) can of worms
I had a look at one of the "power trails" in question. Couldn't even display them all in Google Maps there were so many. IMHO, it is completely pointless and finding pieces of litter every couple of hundred feet has none of the attractions that make geocaching such fun. GC.com has lots of rules, lik...

Re: Moveable Cache Race
We also enjoyed the race, especially being able to take one to the GCA event at the Scout Jamboree.
We were also of course very pleased to win a prize. The kids were delighted to each get a Geocaching Australia path tag as were the grown ups.
Thanks for your efforts C@W.

Re: GSAK: Mixing GCA and GC
Err - woops. Looks like I was thinking of placed caches - dratt!
On reflection, I get around the problem to some extent by creating GSAK databases just for found caches and filling them with the GC PQ and the GCA equivalent.

Re: GSAK: Mixing GCA and GC
I have GC and GCA caches stored in GSAK. Is there an easy solution for what I need to enter into the options to help GSAK determine the caches found/hidden by myself. If I use "Owner #Id" and use my GC id, then the GCA caches I've found won't get marked as found. I'm assuming I need to use "RegEx" ...

We will be at the Scout Jamboree (http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga1702) tomorrow, with a movable requiring a lift either north or south. Some time in the arvo.

Re: GCA Google Map Issue
Depending on how many caches are returned in your My Query, the redraw of the cache icons can take a while. How many are in your My Query? If it's a My Query, what's the queryid? If it's a state, which state. Arhh well, that must be my problem. What I am actually doing is either clicking on the "Vi...

GCA Google Map Issue
The GCA Google Map interface is brilliant, especially the full screen feature so unfortunately missing in GC's version, but I have an issue with cache icons not appearing when the map centre is dragged. Is this just me, or is there an issue here? I'm, using Firefox 3.5.3. Also, is there a way to jus...

Re: GCA Website Smartphone version - User input required
Sounds great. The ability to locate the nearest GCA cache and get enough info to find it, in a similar way to Geocache Navigator or similar for GC caches would be terrific. Maps would be nice, but would gobble the bandwidth. Is it practical to get access to the devices GPS with a browser only approa...

Re: Unlisted features on Garmin GPSmap 60csx
A viewing of the movie Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen has revealed some undocumented features on the Garmin GPSmap 60csx. It seems that you can access real time sat imagery. Very useful for finding caches. :D Excellent news. Can I retask the satellites as well? So annoying when there not look...
