Small, non-visible changes

A few small, background changes have been implemented. Preparation for some upcoming games. Changing the home state flags to use SVG files vs. PNG files. API changes (the API developer group has been informed separately). A few minor changes. You should not see any of these, but if you notice someth...

Podcache MP3 file hosting at Geocaching Australia

As of 25 September 2018 Geocaching Australia implemented an audio album for geocachers to upload small mp3 files for their PodCaches. http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Album We restrict the files to 1MB which makes them too small to upload music files, but large enough for a reasonable voice record...

Re: Have you ICEM?

Time for another update on our ICEM series. We have now increased our total number of caches in the series from 58 to 102. This is a great result. There are still a few locations that some cachers have mentioned they might be able to publish one, and if that were to happen, we’d have another 10 or s...

Geocaching Australia Senate - Feb 19

As you will probably know, Geocaching Australia is run by a volunteer group known as the Senate. We also have other positions such as developers and social media authors, however it is the senate that is charged with the functions that keep us running from day to day. The senate positions are up for...

Re: 2019 mid year game suggestions

:griffin I was thinking that perhaps an 'Unloved Cache' game might be fun. Points would be scored for say each week a cache has been unloved. Of course the unloved length of time would have to be up to the start of the game so that all players can find such caches not just the first one to find it....

Re: Journey or Destination

(A quick how to)... Find one of the qualifying caches i.e. Trad, Multi, Puzzle etc, as per the list on the game page. Hiding a qualifying cache is also part of the game. Log your find or publish your cache. Go onto the games page and click on ‘choose path’. Once you have your board up, the system wi...

Re: Have you ICEM?

I'll be in Seymour in a couple of days with plans of finding at least one of the new caches recently published. I will also find a suitable spot for a Seymour ICEM cache if no one else puts their hand up in the meantime. That would be great....Seymour should get a bit passing traffic as well. Good ...

Re: Have you ICEM?

Just an update on our re-launch of the ICEM series. We have increased our total number of caches in the series from approx 58 to 80. The increase has seen 19 new caches published and 3 formerly archived caches re-instated. Add to these, there have been another 10 possible locations mentioned as plac...
