Re: Christmas in July Game

Remember you do not need to claim on the day or even find on the day. You can build a bank of hides or finds early and space them out or if you run behind, regain your ground next weekend. The only restriction is your logs must be made before the game completes at midnight AEST on the 25th of July....

Re: Cacheing in Los Angeles

I would contact 3 of the local cache owners asking them about this. You then have 3 local knowledge responses that you can then base your decisions off. Not sure how new or old you are to this, but just in case... if you search for caches in the Los Angeles area on geocaching.com you can click on th...

Re: GA app for android

I seem to be having trouble loading caches on my map. I've gone into settings to check I'm looking for "ALL" but it's not showing up all of them - just others. I select "owned" and it shows them all. Of course I'm refreshing each time. I haven't tried the other settings.

Dubbo Dubbo Dubbo......and Narromine as well !!! See you soon No_Tomorrow. Not sure when you are planning on coming back through the area, but if you are doing any Bourkebornandbred caches, she is always obliging with hints and missing multicache codes. I just introduced her to GCA today - she's be...

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here

Just noting a couple of spelling errors in the Christmas in July game info:
- In the registration part it says you'll be "promoted" to choose a clan instead of "prompted"... I assume;
- second last point at bottom of page says "arfe" instead of "are".

Re: What's new on Geocaching Australia

http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/statistics/No_Tomorrow/general/ Verbosity Average (dragonZone) Average of 40 words per log Aha - so ignore the "10 to go" bit. Got it. Minimum 2 words?! Is that because I add a smilie after my TFTCs? Haha. Any way to see who the highest averagers are? I'm guessing If...

Re: New dragonZone trophies available

First up, we have the Loquacious trophy. This trophy rewards those dragonZoners who like to write long logs, and is based on your average word count. TFTC - Bronze trophy - Average word count is > 50 words. An essay, just a plain old essay - Silver trophy - Average word count is > 80 words I'm prac...

Re: Puzzle Solving Resources

The Geocaching Australia has several tools for creating and decoding some of the more regular methods: http://geocaching.com.au/toolbox/ Not realising before my trip that I was heading this way or would have an hour or two to cache on my own, I didn't have "time" to solve the conglomeration of GCA ...

Puzzle Solving Resources

Hi all, I'm looking for resources, books, online, whatever, to help me learn more about solving puzzle caches, and creating them. I'm not the smartest cookie and get really lost trying to figure out codes via my mobile phone when under time pressure, so I'd love to learn more of this in my spare tim...

Re: Helpful Hints for Newcomers

Cool, thanks for the reply!! But what if it's a moveable (as was in this case)? Does it just mean they'll get it on the next move if you get there first? First in, first served! He is still there too. We had to use the hint which helped us realise GZ only put you in the vicinity (in both area AND h...
