Re: Open OSM Images in Mapsource
Thanks, but the above method doesn't work on my system. (Windoze 7) I get a DOS box flash up and disappear quickly, followed by "Convert Failed" message box. You don't need to do half of what Geodes posted. Sorry Geodes. Here is a nice step by step on how to do it. It also includes pics. http://www...

Re: Walking Papers
That looks very interesting mtrax. Just put 3 maps into the queue to give it a try. The only problem is the queue is been held up by a failed map by the looks of it. Hopefully it will get sorted soon

Re: Garmin - A tale of woes!
Mapsource WILL NOT create .img files but they can be loaded into Mapsource. Have a look at this link http://www.gpsaustralia.net/forums/show ... hp?t=14623Skippy wrote:The Mapsource program will create a .img file , you can not view it via Mapsource

Re: Garmin - A tale of woes!
I think all you have to do is copy each .img file into the Garmin directory on the SD card. That's for the Oregonhomedg wrote:how do you load an .img onto the Garmin (oregon)?

Re: Sat-nav devices face big errors as solar activity rises
The last solar max was in 2001. This was when I started caching. I still have the same problems finding caches now days as I had back then. I also placed my first cache back then. The coordinates are still fine today. I can't see it being a problem.

Re: OZtopo V2.1 b
Just don't upgrade Mapsource to V6.15.11 as OzTopo will stop working. Garmin has released V6.15.11 of MapSource. DO NOT UPGRADE to this version if you are using OZtopo. Garmin in their wisdom have changed the unlcok code algorithms (deliberately??) to stop third party maps to be unlocked and used wi...
