Re: Can 2 geocachers each log the same find together?

Plus, it is a game, meant for fun, and to enjoy. Who really wants to be too serious about rules. And of course, it is not about the numbers.....

Re: A Cache that cannot be posted

You could list it here on GCA instead.

Re: Recording final co-ords for multis to use on maps

Actually, I like how Google Maps is implemented in GCA. If you are offering to put it in as a function, then YES PLEASE, as I would use it. At the moment, I put solved co-ords into c:geo but would like to keep them externally (in case c:geo gets corrupted). And to be clear, I don't want to know the ...

Recording final co-ords for multis to use on maps

Hi. Is there any functionality to record the final location of multis and mysterys and the like. The reason for asking is so that when viewing Google Maps, I could use it to see where the final location is along with the existing traditional and virtuals in the area for when I am planning a caching ...

Re: Hiding Caches with a Smartphone..

My LG Optimus smartphone was very bad with it's GPS but after updating to a new release that i got an email about from LG the phone is working much better and I'd expect it's accuracy has improved greatly. I certainly notice signal problems when comparing the "real" GPS especially when caching near...

Re: Android GPS problem

Rang LG today. They said that my phone didn't use satellites, and that even if it did, it could not use satellites without a phone service. When I suggested that it did indeed use gps satellites because gps tools showed locks of 6 or 7 sats, and I did have a phone service, she said that no LG phone ...

Re: Android GPS problem

Well, it has got to be a software issue. Left it on overnight, outside, with gps tools running, and no lock whatsoever, and picked up only one sat occasionally whenever I went to check. Ready to throw phone out the window this morning. Put the phone in car this afternoon, switched on c:geo, drove fo...

Re: Groundspeak "listing-service exclusivity on Mega-Events"

It is the principle of it, and this will be the thin edge of the wedge. It will move on to events and other things. Why promote directly their so-called event for no acknowledgment. If people who use the gc.com service feel miffed about not posting about megas on gca, then complain to gc.com who sta...

Re: Groundspeak "listing-service exclusivity on Mega-Events"

To avoid any Mega-Event from being "delisted", I'm proposing that Geocaching Australia, including the site forums, will now ban, with extreme prejudice any and all references to Mega-Event activity. We will also remove any reference to a Mega-Event on any cache listing page, list of upcoming events...

Re: Groundspeak "listing-service exclusivity on Mega-Events"

You could easily get around it by holding the:

GC OzMega Event on Day 1, the GCA OzGiga Event on Day 2, and the OpenCaching Nano Event on Day 3.

Or, the GC OzMega Event in Building A, whilst Building B had the GCA OzGiga.

Lawyers would have a field day with this.

Re: Android GPS problem

I already have the gps app. It shows no sats, or sometimes 1 or 2. I have tried clearing the gps data, and also downloading fresh gps assistance data to no avail, and also to download it hourly. It can't really be a hardware problem as I get a fix 15 or so minutes later, and when you look at the gps...

Re: Android GPS problem

No, data is fine. It downloads google sat maps swiftly and says 3G in the top corner. I am nowhere near my download limit. It must know where I am from the phone towers as it puts me within about 50 metres.

Android GPS problem

I am using a LG Optimus Black Android phone for caching. I have been using it a while and always got a sat lock within a minute or so. In the last few weeks, it takes about 10 or more minutes to lock on. I have done some google searches in gps forums, but no real answers. Has anybody experienced a s...

Re: Half-price Sistemas!

I guess it is time to look it up on YouTube on how to do it, as I assume you don't use a sledgehammer.
