Basically, I couldn't get my fingers in around the container far enough to remove it and I didn't have the impliments (eg a couple of skinny sticks) which would have helped with the removal process I think I might know this cache as well  If it's mine, I'll have to go down there and make sure...

Re: Would you remove a cache item?

This got me thinking as to why put something like that in there? Probably a new cacher who hadn't brought along any swaps and simply used what they had on hand. I've been guilty of raiding a glovebox on my first cache trip and leaving some condoms in a cache! Now I know better... 8) I've remo...

I had a go at some people looking for one of my caches, told them it was a nature reserve and they shouldn't be off the path... Got an abrupt "Okay" response as they awkwardly stood there holding the cache before I let them off the hook with a bright "So did you find the cache?" :D

It's all good, don't let politics ruin it. mentioning that point, how come some people only list on GCA and not GC ? They're a new species of cacher! :D A bit of an overview here: http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/GCA_vs_GC You might want to consider adapting, 1 in 4 caches in your state are liste...

Brings to mind the signs on the rides at "White Water World", do not ride if you are pregnant, have recently had surgery etc, all with related icons, except that there was no icon for "have recently had diarrhoea" :?

Condolences to Cannibal Smurf

As some of you may know, Cannibal Smurf is in Sydney for the birth of his daughter. Sadly, there were medical complications and she did not survive. The funeral for Mikayla was held today. Our thoughts are with him at this difficult time.

if c@w's spending his time xml-ing the back end, that's even more clever than the javascript idea because an xml back-end will allow a new range of interfaces to the site (think iphone, blackberry and all sorts of things that haven't even been invented yet!) we think that more and more cachers will...

First impression is that it needs to be translucent, currently can't see the map underneath.

That sounds fantastic! It would be great to have something like Trimble Geocache Navigator that would work with Geocaching Australia caches! Trimble Navigator does a good job with Groundspeak caches, but it doesn't do GCA. Something that doesn't cost US$6/mo would be even better in my opinion...
