Okay...I think Superman should NOT be allowed to cache. Someone hold him down while I take his GPS.

I do sometimes put used things in.
When I said used...I should have been more specific...I was referring to old rusty peices of crap, or something thats on its last legs as a functional item, or something thats pretty much dead.

:-)

Clarifying in agreeance with Aushiker :)

And if you do print out lots of cache sheets...try this program- Fineprint...you can use it free from here. It allows you to make your pages reduced...so you can save at least 50% (we've saved up to 86% on our cache note printing!) on your paper. The non licensed (free) version prints out a little t...

I don't know if we'd get into waymarking... As a side note...I noticed that in recent threads a lot of cachers talk about not having to carry a backpack, and some don't carry anything more than a pen. I should hope that on longer 'bushier' caches, people would be carrying some version of a first aid...

/Rant Hat On We always endeavour to make sure there are a variety of items in our cache for all age groups. When we go to Mcd's, because we have an 8 yr old who likes the toys, we'll usually buy an extra or two. Believe it or not, but some people will pay money to collect the whole lot of a Mcd's to...

My brother (22yo) suffered from Drug Induced Schizophrenia...which progressed into Schizophrenia. He smoked a bit of marijuana (as a lot of young men and women that age do), and he was out one night with some friends who gave him Ecstacy. It must have been a bad batch because both him and a friend w...

We haven't really had anything unusual happen on our caching trips...except perhaps Scott wandering through a cemetery at 2:30am...he was looking for a particular headstone as part of a cache...he found the first one no problem...then proceeded to find the other one. On the way he radioed (we had th...

Just had a brainwave. Why not add a wee little microchip beacon type thingy on the black boxes? Then if they are dumped, they could be traced...not sure how they'd go about that...but its a thought!!

I think its ridiculous. I'm not going to rant on it- its not worth the high blood pressure. One thing that peeves me though- the 'powers that be' give these *people* (refrain refrain refrain) the black boxes so they aren't so noticable as drug users- and they STILL can't dispose of them correctly. H...

Another reason I'm doing it is in the hope that cachers will help me. We will have a form in it that you can fill out if you see a snake. I am hoping that cachers will send the sighting sheet to me (I will pay for postage) or fill in an online one to be submitted to my snake wrangler (He works for t...

Maybe we should all write to the appropriate powers that be to encourage them to make sure those containers are marked accordingly. I mean, it is a step up from syringes laying exposed as stated before, but as cachers (and I believe we're all pretty much environmentally aware) we might have some wei...

I'm in the process of publishing a 'cache' book on snakes native to WA (a collaboration with a well known Perth snake wrangler)

I'm a herp lover from way back....

It will be cacher based and include First Aid protocol for snake bites.
