Re: Geosportz 2018

I'm a bit devo that the 5x starts when I get back to no-caches-left-centralwestnsw. You're not alone there. J and I will be heading up to the Riverland for a couple of nights over Easter, where there are 13 to 15 GCA caches we will be focusing on. We will be back to "found-nearly-everything-in-Adel...

Re: DNF Etiquette

We usually always log a DNF no matter how long we searched for the cache. If we never really got a chance to have a reasonable look, then we'll post a note describing why we didn't look.

There certainly will be. Just ironing out a few minor details before an official announcement.

Re: Discussion topic. Games = trash caches being made

We always encourage quality hides on Geocaching Australia, especially during our games, as can be read on the SotN home page: http://geocaching.com.au/dragonzone/game/statesofthenation Hiding geocaches will also be a large part of the scavenger series, but please remember this is a game of geocachin...

Re: States of the Nation Scavenger Hunt and hides

Having some great fun with this new game. Thanks Faeries. Just a quick question. A few of us have had problems claiming requirements for unfound days with multiple finders on the same day. Eg myself wazza9 and Nana Nel all found a cache together on the same day and the last finder was some 8 years ...

I couldn't imagine it'd be anything other than the listed coordinates.

Re: 2017/2018 Summer Game

Is it just me, or does this 'scavenge' read like I should be able to claim this? "Find and log a geocache with the word (or partial word) "gnome" in the name' can only be claimed against a geocache that contains the word 'gnome'. Moveable Gnommander does not contain 'gnome' as words." Gnommander HA...

Re: Equity Concerns in the States Of the Nation Game

Unfortunately, we cannot please all of the people all of the time. Not everyone has nearby D5/T5 caches, or has the physical capabilities of finding such caches, so they too would be marginalised in this game. At the moment Western Australia and Tasmania are sitting quite nicely on the ladder, and p...

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here

I found them on the 17th. Well that's disappointing..... I didn't know there was a use by date on allocating points. There is indeed a use by date on allocating points. I checked the dragonZone Wiki and this fact is mentioned twice, but only in the TIPS section: http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/D...

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here

I found 2 multi's last weekend but they don't appear in the allocate points list under My Dragon Zone. Any ideas??? When you say "last weekend" you do mean the weekend just gone, ie: 23 and 24 December? If it was the weekend prior, then you have missed your seven day window to allocate points to re...

Re: States of the Nation Scavenger Hunt and hides

I still genuinely don't understand the Dragonzone game, nor do I understand the current State of the Nation game. I am aware that I am not in the majority, although I know I am not the only one. It would take a very long post to describe both dragonZone and States of the Nation in one go, so let's ...

Re: States of the Nation Scavenger Hunt and hides

If you have two caches near you with the word "hill" in the name then you're in luck. ;)
