Re: Where would you like to see the next Mega Event held?

South East Queensland has a lot satelite towns around Brisbane that have the infrastructure in the local showgrounds to hold a Mega Event. Buildings, luncheon rooms, toilets and showers for campers. I think the next one will be in Vic or SA (perhaps near the border), but subject to me discussing th...

Re: Where would you like to see the next Mega Event held?

Picking specific locations is assuming that there is a local group of cachers willing to organise it. :) NZ would be nice but alternate years is a big ask for them, and may be best in a cycle with Australian states. Of course the kiwi cachers would be best to answer that one of course. NZ population...

NT added. You can change your votes.

If you have already voted you need to vote again, as it wpuld appear that by adding NT it cleared the votes. Apologies for that.

Where would you like to see the next Mega Event held?

I thought I would put this up to see where people are interested in seeing what state the next one should held. Perhaps people are reluctant to put their hand up to organise one thinking that people will not travel so far or would like to see it close to the masses. Thats my belief in having one in ...

Re: Constructive Feedback for the Next Mega Event

I found little fault in the event and for a first up one they have set a high standard. The only gripe from my team was the kids play equipment that didn't turn up, which I understand was a failing on the supplier not the organisers. In saying that the kids still managed to occupy their time with ev...

Re: Launching Australia's First Ever Mega Event-Wagga Wagga 2010

To Riverina Geocaching, a question on camping.

Is there going to be allocated campsites at kurrajong or pick a spot anywhere when you arrive. Wanting to camp with other cachers in a group. 8)

Apologies if this has come up before but I couldn'r find it (had trouble finding the thread :(

Re: Launching Australia's First Ever Mega Event-Wagga Wagga 2010

I would take it the police will be well informed on the possible goings on around town for the weekend. If a decision can be made on the puzzles and if any are going to be disabled, as I am starting to work on a few. Usually puzzle caches have a much lower hit count than say traditionals and may not...

Re: Nearmap rival to Google Earth?

Had a look at Brisbane CBD and while the resolution look better, the photo appears to have been taken lat afternoon so there are a lot of shadows. :? The photography is more recent, only a few weeks old. Is the intent to provide regular updated photography? That would be an advantage ove Google Earth.

Stingy, be careful that there isn't any stamp duty applicable bringing it in to Australia from overseas.

By the way, Johnny Appleseed has the Dakota 20 for $410.

Your best bet is If's GCTRF2 Brisbane Oddities - Uncaged, for a reasonable size cache at or nearby Southbank.
