Re: Australian Power Trails

Isn't that what point 4 is about? That is the way I read it. Point 4 clarifies how such large numbers of finds could be achieved in a day ie. Only one member of the team needs to locate the cache. Not necessarily. It doesn't always take multiple people to find large numbers in a day! Their Geocachi...

Re: Australian Power Trails

The records need some definition around them to overcome this. Like the Guinness people do. The wiki defines all. http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Caching_record#Guidelines_for_most_finds_in_a_day Looks like it hasn't been updated in a while! I authored the original rules in wiki and then (correc...

Re: Australian Power Trails

Sorry...I probably should have made that clearer. The discussion is on the local Albury Wodonga forums...so I'm not sure the wider community will be able to see it. I knew that by posting it here, there would be a greater number of more experiences cachers to share their opinions rather than just th...

Re: Australian Power Trails

Sorry to have to dredge up another conversation on power trails...but there has been a new trail put out along the High Country Rail Trail from Talkangatta to Wodonga spanning 44 kms and approximately 105 or so caches. I had the pleasure of doing most of the series yesterday...and loved it...but...o...

Re: Those Badges and those Darned logs!

37 words is the average. So if you're writing more than that, you're waffling and if you're writing less, you're a TFTC low life loser. 37 is the target people. Don't make me come over there. http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/statistics/caughtatwork/general A case of do as I say...not as I do huh! :D

Re: Those Badges and those Darned logs!

The only time it irks me is when people try to write a long log on a cache that you can only muster 20-30 good words on...eg drive by film cannister. I dod like to see people put efforts into their logs, but you can see through the ones who overdo it.

Re: GeosportZ 2012 - Questions and Clarifications

Well with Geosportz over, I wanted to firstly say a big thankyou to caughtatwork for once again providing a great competition to keep us busy for the past two months, and for his time and effort in putting all of this together...as well as answering forum messages and emails, approving 1096 claims, ...

Re: FTF Prizes - Usual Practice

An interesting question! Expected...certainly not! A nice gesture...absolutely. Others can correct me if they disagree, but usually FTF prizes are more common in those caches where some effort is required by the finder to find it...whether it be a difficult puzzle...hard terrain...long distance to t...
