Re: muggles
A muggle is a non-cacher. It comes from Harry Potter, where a muggle is a non magical human.

Re: Deliberately incorrect coordinates
OK, I was curious about the guidelines and what people thought, I don't really want to have this cache archived, but was wondering how to get across to the hider that he should post the right coordinates as he seems to think this is an OK practice.

Deliberately incorrect coordinates
There is a cacher who has started placing caches with deliberately wrong coordinates, they are both in high muggle area with security cameras. I think it is unacceptable, and I thought that the guidelines require actual coordinates, but one of these caches states in the cache notes, that the coordin...

"Event" only Moveable Cache
Is this cache idea OK? I have a cache I have just built, but since it won't whether well, I was planning on making it a moveable cache. I want it to travel person to person, logged and swapped at events, official, or just cachers meeting for coffee, lunch etc. People could post coordinates of where ...

Re: TerraCaching
I don't know if this is current, but apparently there are 19 terracaches in Australia. Hardly seems worth it!

Re: Whos got a caching pen ?
Although I agree that there is nothing like a good quality pen, but at the rate I loose pens, I would rather loose a $5 plastic pen than a expensive pen.
To date I have lost about 5 jetstream pens, at about $6 each, so these days I just use whatever pen I have in the car or bag.

Re: Cache maintennance etiquette
Hi, Yes I think you should leave the log in there. If I know the cache owner personally and expect to see them, then I will take the log book and hand it to them. You should only replace the cache container if you are very sure that it is gone, if you are at all in doubt, then don't. Also it is also...

Re: Calabraiting my Garmin 60CSx
Mr red tag has one of these - I find the compass is less accurate when you are moving quickly (anything above a brisk walk) so I leave it turned off, and as I approach the cache ("beep!") I turn the compass on if I think I need the pointer to be accurate (usually moving slower or standing at this t...

Re: Personal Safety
I have been followed once on foot after getting a cache on my way to get another. I had my 5YO with me and was in a industrial type estate. My greatest concern was for my son, so after crossing a car park and seeing him follow us across (we were hiding behind some bushes), we backtracked along anoth...

Re: GARMIN DAKOTA 20
They have removed wherigo capability. I can't imagine that would have saved any money. Is that a sign that wherigo isn't doing all the well and Garmin have decided not to support it?
