or are they caches that you are placing with no intention of return to and maintaining (I think you can sort of get away with this on GCA.) Cheers Bundy Either way, its not considered responsible caching to create a cache without some sort of maintenance plan. The fact that GCA relies on the common...

Can I still use RoboGEO? Yes, but you'll need to import the tracklogs instead of using the program to download them directl...

Will RoboGeo create waypoints in Oziexplorer?
It won't create an Ozi format waypoint file however it will produce a GPX file that can be loaded into Oziexplorer or Google Earth or any application that can read a GPX file.

So is "geotagging" the correct term. I'll have to dig out my GPX files to see if I can update the meta data in the photos. Yes it is. There is a lot of info in the discussions at http://flickr.com/groups/geotagging/ including links to various helper and view scripts. I used to use OZphototool but h...

As an association, you don't have to incorporate. You just need a consitution, and an initial meeting which provides a letter saying a bank account needs to be opened for the association. The signatories have to provide the 100 point check. The benefit of incorporation is that it protects members f...

I believe we need two associations. One for the web site funding, ideally this would be non state based, however unless it is a company it would have state incorporation because that's the way the government has chosen to do it. It could also be a business name but that has a few disadvantages. I su...

So FoGCA could be a legal entitiy that owns the funds that get raised to keep GCA going handing them out as necessary to support the server, rental and bandwidth costs? I doubt there is any need for any other costs than keeping the server running, so until we know what we want we don't know what we...

If we are heading along the association lines, the Tasmanians have already been down that road its worthwhile getting some input from whomever set it up there. Each state will have different procedures so it would be a good idea to peruse the state requirements and pick the best state. The NSW infor...

Appreciated, however the current server is in America as bandwidth is a lot cheaper there than here. Now, if you could donate a nice fat pipe we could plug into. :D

I may be wrong, but do paypal take details of the person? Eg tax details, shoe size? If they dont, then dontations would simply go into the paypal account and the server fees can be paid from there?
