Well if nothing else, caching my way from Albury to Melbourne yesterday was interesting :shock: Poking around rocks, looking for a cache, in the middle of paddocks in 46+ degree heat with a 60 or 70 km/h breeze kicking up the dust and knocking branches out of the gum trees gave me a real feeling of...

.........And don't forget the magic tickable box on the geocaching.com reporting a new cache page :D The one that says "Yes, this listing is active" If you 'untick' that box you can post a new cache listing, mess around with your cache page listing and edit it as much as you like until it looks righ...

I finally found one :lol: No not a cache, a free MacWiFi :D I was searching around Carina in Brisbane this morning and stumbled onto a puzzle cache. The PDA was hooked into a nearby Macca's WiFi and voila it worked :) It worked extremely slowwwlllllly though :cry: It would transfer 70 kb or so then...

I've never had a problem with the electronic compass on my GPS76CS. It needed recalibrating if I moved a couple of hundred KM's, but that was to be expected. Once calibrated the compass would work OK for the rest of the day :D As for rechargable batteries, I gave up on them years ago. It just wasn't...
