Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................

You look in the TV guide and notice that tonight's episode of CSI MIami is called F-T-F and the first thing you actually, seriously think, is that it will involve Geocaching... 8-[

Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted

As a CO, one of the things I enjoy is reading about the finder's experiences finding the cache and how they enjoyed it. That includes why they were in the area at the time and what made them decide to do my cache, anything interesting that may have been happening around the cache area at the time, a...

Re: A step up from a mirror on a stick.

A couple of years ago, a cache was lost into a big centrifical pump that was on static display in a town down the victorian coast, east of Melbourne. This would have done the trick in retrieving it. Don't rub it in ! The poor child still has nightmares    Oh Dear, lol. http://i...

Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted

As the author of at least one of those comments above, I've never suggested that anyone should delete TFTC logs.... Yes, they might be annoying but they are, like it or not, valid and 'appropriate' (just as bikerbuddy's logs might have been annoying to the CO, but is still perfectly valid). We can ...

Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted

In fairness to the people who post on this forum, I will say that this cache owner does not like me for personal reasons I can guess at, but could not conclusively prove. Naturally I have been shocked that Groundspeak supported this action, apart from the shock at the treatment I have received. I h...

Re: Trying to find my first ever cache - inner Melbourne in 2005

Timing, or rather 'time', is a big issue here. GC1TZV4 only survived for a short period between being published and the first of the DNFs - less than one month in fact :o. That gave Maggies-lens a very small window of opportunity to have found it. Not impossible I know but ... On the other hand, Sa...

Re: Top Caches in the world

Groundspeak HQ is a pretty obvious candidate for favourite points as it's a kind of Mecca for geocachers, but that's really the only reason. I must confess to never having used any of my favourite points, but when I do, I won't be adding one for Groundspeak HQ, although it was an interesting experie...

Re: Geosportz

Judging from last time, many of the activities involve the option to hide a cache. There should definitely be extra points for GCA hides, which would solve the problem for those who live in locations without many GCA caches. \:D/ Sounds like a fun exercise, hope I will have time to participate ! On...
