Re: Speaking of Angels... Conflicted.
I was thinking about this this morning and first first thought was "If you can officially take over the listing it would be worth it. You could change the position so it wouldn't get muggled." But the I thought: What are you actually saving here? The original cache and log book are gone. I'm assumin...

Unloved - What is your total?
One of my favourite sub-games in geocaching is going to get the ACT's most unloved cache. I'm in a pretty unique situation since there are lots of bush caches in the ACT only an hour's drive (but then many hours walking or riding) from home. As the year draws to a close I have been looking at my sta...

Sounds interesting. And far enough away in time to plan a trip.

Re: Trickiest spots to fill in the D/T grid
I've only got 8 to go, but have done 49 terrain 4.5+ Canberra is a pretty good hunting ground for this type of cache because there are heaps in close proximity: 1.5/5, GC1H255 - Needs a canoe or a short swim. About 50 metres from shore (if that) 3.5/4.5 GC45MRH - Tree climb 2.5/4.5 GC1HZER - Night c...

Re: Does anyone know "supertuttle" from around Canberra?
My advice, don't get attached to trackables. They are always doomed. Some dufus put a really weird log on my 1,000 finds achievement coin, putting it into a cache which was subsequently muggled, not maintained and archived. I contacted them about the coin and never heard anything. Very disappointing.

Re: Event stacking
I think tacking a CITO event on to a regular event is a noble thing and should be encouraged. Although I'm not much of an event goer, I'd prefer to do a CITO. I think that the CITO is noble. The event? Maybe not so much. There should be the requirement to hand in one bag of rubbish, in a bag that w...

Don't worry everyone. It was resolved privately and to everyone's satisfaction. No harm done, just a joke that backfired a bit.Damo. wrote:How odd they registered the account in December and had to wait this long for you to make a comment they could link to that hilarious avatar.

Re: Anyone ever get sacked (or nearly) for geocaching?
I've often wondered how some cachers seem to get away with it. There was one guy in Canberra who was a real FTF nut. Word on the streets was that his workplace got sick of it and he was nearly sacked. He doesn't cache much anymore.

Re: Caching Swap - Where have they gone?
Personally I don't care and so didn't vote. I only care when caching with kids. As a hider, I am always disappointed that people don't stick to the guidelines when swapping something of equal or better value.
