Re: Small pens

Chinagraph pencils are more like writing witha crayon. they are hard to keep a fine point on. I have two( 1 black one white) in the car for emergenecy use ,as they will write on just about everything. however they do not sign logs that well. I have had ,and lost while geocaching, a few pens that i t...

Re: Money support for website

Here is an idea.... any coins/cash found or picked up during a cache hunt, or even from the cache itself ( verboten) could go into a jar,and every now and then donate thet total to the support of the game. I've ben collecting the coins i find on the street, or in cache containers for a couple of mon...

Re: Is it just me?

this is a responce to the thread in general.... it sounds like this suggestion is to standardize and take the creativity out of this sport, even more than it already has. why not just go back to using GCnnnn and GAnnnn codes in your cache names. do not allow anyone to call their hide anything other ...

SPot now has a reasonable contender...

I was reading the latest caravan and RV magazine, and in the Gadgets and products section they have shown a , new to me, contender for the Spot GPS system this one comes from Delorme (maker of high level GPS devices). this one is called the Inreach http://www.inreachdelorme.com/ . pretty cool as it ...

Re: Effective Stealth Techniques

Sometimes standing and shouting "Have you found it yet?" keeps even stealthy geocachers at bay! :P ! Most times when i have been questioned, not that it happens that often... I recruit them into helping me ,if they want. mosttimes they help out,and have some fun.other times they all of a sudden have...

Re: Data usage

this is a how long is a piece of string question.... for an hours useage you could be up for kilobytes, or gigabytes depending on what you do in that hour. I'd suggest you get a data monitor/counting tool that suits your platform, and switch that on so you can see for your self how much data you are...

Re: Caching Etiquette

If you happen to meet other geocachers "on the trails" it can be worth a smilie to stop and say hi! http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga0738 Spotto! Spotto is a GCA locationless that you can log as many times as you like. the only rule is the meeting must be coincidental, not a pre arranged meeting or ...

Re: I need to replace my Asus Eee

Whilst the android tablets are great for most things, our brethren have found you get stuck when you rely on a table t for mobile caching, so far we have not found any way to transfer waypoint data from Android versions of apps to the garmin range of GPs we own. there seems to be something for bluet...

Re: Munzees!

I too await someone to hide a munzee in my area. i have been busy placing some, and a few people have found some of them, but ,like all these games, leeching is more popular than supporting the game and placing one. given how easy it is to hide a munzee I'm surprised ther arent many more out there. an...

Alien Abduction ( moveable) cache - the New Breed!

Having received a few enquiries as to if this cache would/could be resurected, i have decided to do just that. although I have no chance of re-animating the original 2 Aliens . I have intel from a secret source that a new alien hybrid has recently been captured and is currently under interrogation b...

Re: Send pesky a Postcard turns 6!

Send Pesky a Postcard http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga0311 This cache needs a freshen up! So here is a new challenge! All previous senders can participate. Send me a postcard, but it must be one you have devised yourself. No commercial touristy ones , nor a free advertising one, nor any fancy card...
