We really enjoy reading caching adventures in logs, Especially for those hard to find caches - either because of difficulty or terrain. Any Vic cachers want to place some terrain 5 caches out there
especially if difficulty rating is above 3

I am desperately short of hard caches



Anything involving a long walk /ski would be good

Try a few Derringer caches - you won't be disappointed!! Above You only Sky And South point Rocks are still awaiting first to finds - You won't find harder bushwalking in Australia :twisted: :twisted: Unless you are on one of my 2 week Tassie off track adventures - but I don't place caches in World ...

It would have been nice to see more than 1 Vic cacher in the top 30!!!!

Perhaps the spirit of co-operation and competition is sadly lacking in this state

I also would like to thank the organisers of the comp. We have had alot of fun going for the more remote caches. Like others , I use a mapping PDA in the vehicle, but once out of the vehicle, I use a basic Etrex Summit with an arrow that points the way. The Summit has a digital compass that will keep the arrow pointing at the cache even if you are stationary, a very useful feature if in difficult terrain. Any ...

Have been a sailor for many years and owned a number of sail boats, from a 30 ft ocean racer to an 18 ft "A" class catamaran.
All had the name "Derringer"
My sailing took to many places and adventures - hence it seemed appropriate for caching

Just been looking at the competition ladder, This is becoming a very close and exciting competition, I expect a flurry of competition finds this long weekend in Australia. Can teams maintain their average - which is of a higher standard to date than last years comp ?(despite the higher values given)...

There will initially be 30 requirements released. Over the course of the game, there will be additional requirements released. Points will vary for the additional requirements. The timeframe that the additional requirements are available will vary Organisers, Any idea when these will come on line? ...
