I use "ws_ftp 95 LE" which is free and it has instructions on how to load it and use it from the web page "http://www.pagematic.com/faq/ws_ftp.html". I have been using the ws_ftp programs for many years and they work fine for uploading using the FTP facility of uploading a web page. Just what I use!...

Thanks Doogan, I can do that. It seems that all the maps at the moment are being saved internally on the GPSr and there is nothing on the SD card. What can a blank SD card be used for then? Why did I buy it, I suppose if there is nothing to download to it.

Loading Mapsource maps to sd card

When loading any maps to the Garmin Vista CX it overwrites the maps that are already there. I am going to NZ in a couple of weeks, is it possible to load some NZ maps without it wiping off all my Ozzie maps? I have a 1gig Micro Card in the GPSr so I'm sure they would fit if I could put the maps on t...

I've got it! I've got it, I think. I have just tested some more Traditional caches and others and they do not show up on my GPSr unless they are near where my GPSr is. I have noticed that with other caches, that if I am going say down to NSW I download caches for that area but they don't show up in ...

Yes, I have only one GPSr and it lists it and I click on "Write" and it says that it has successfully downloaded the cache when it hasn't . I have just now tested "Dam Views" and it loads fine and is in the Waypoints list as GA1044 on the GPSr but the others won't load even tho it says that they hav...

No, I thought of that idea and after trying it the first time I then cleared the GPSr of all waypoints and geocaches; as I thought of the same thing; and it made no difference. Still can't find anything on it.
I don't understand how tronador can download a Locational cache but I can't. I have no ...

No, I couldn't get Birds & Butterflies to download; but again it says that it has downloaded but it isn't listed under "Waypoints" nor "Geocaches" on the GPSr. I don't know where it is going.
I just now also tried to download Very Public Baths, a Locational cache but again, it says it has downl...

Tried again to load GCA caches direct to GPSr tonight and it works fine. I tried the Traditional and Mystery caches and I can find those on the GPSR but I also tried a Locationless and although it says that it has downloaded it, I can't find it under "Waypoints" or "Geocaches" on the GPSr so I don't...

I just tried to download another Locationless cache to the GPSr and got a different Fatal Error. This time it came up with a different "char: 278" and a different "Message: The prefix 'w' has not been mapped to any URI".
Hope this also might help to solve any probs.
