I have this problem solved. I wrote something in Perl. It is crude, and relies on the layout of the GPX file, but it works.
And what's more, I still have 30 hours before I leave.

Sorry - I assumed that if you didn't have access to your PC then GSAK wouln't be a possibility.

Maybe the waypoint files from roblisa.com would be enough to get by with? You can download cache waypoints by state in various formats including .wpt. http://www.roblisa.com/geocache/ Quite possible, but not ideal. I am heading to Queensland in a couple of weeks, for a couple of weeks - most of which I won't have access to a PC.
