Re: The other kind of 'find'.
On holidays in Melbourne last November and with bad satellite reception when crossing the bridge over the Yarra to C@W's cache (ultimately on the way to go up the tower) we took the stairs down to the little island and at the bottom found a dumped wallet. Still contained cards and more importantly f...

Re: Downloading GCA GPX file
Yep - that was the page I was looking for. I think I worked out my problem  Selecting the GCA cache page didn't default to Australia as the country when I had jt uslogged in, and thus the state options weren't available, but all the caches listed on the first page were Australian. Doing it aga...

Downloading GCA GPX file
I previously downloaded just the GCA caches for SA (the last time a couple of weeks ago). However, I tried doing that today and noticed I can only do it for all of Australia. Is this a deliberate change to the workings, or am I looking at the wrong page
Cheers

Re: Have you cached on Christmas Day?
Finally have now, and with a FTF \:D/ I did consider going out at 12:30am after everything was set for the morning and lunch, but thought that was shortcutting the mission of caching on Christmas Day. Thankfully we needed ice and the new cache was only a minor detour on the way :) Still lots of hole...

Re: Moving Caches Suggestion
No problems.
I've just found the way
SA GCA Caches
When sorting by Type on the GCA caches page, the Moving ones are at the top of the list
and I can quickly see the last log as per your suggestion.
Thanks

Moving Caches Suggestion
Is it possible for Moving Caches whose last log was a "Found" to have a different bubble on google maps to Moving caches whose last log was not a found. :-k Looking at the map of "where are all the Gnomes" it'd save some time opening up the gnomes page from the map to see if they have been picked up...

Re: Deaddrops (USB). An interesting caching idea.
I still haven't seen any simple ways to make the dead drop read-only, other than Philipp's idea of a write protected SD card into a USB SD card reader. Here's one for $6.95, all ready to go! http://www.oo.com.au/Vodafone_SD_Memory_Card_USB_Fl_P37663C1447.cfm All you'd have to do is glue the write p...

Re: Archived because of danger (or not)
No it shouldn't be archived. I'd rather see one over rate a terrain than under-rate it. Zytheran adds a mix of consequence to his ratings. So you know if you fall from a 5-star you die, or do some major damage if 4-star. But even then some will complain. Should climbing up a ladder which isn't that ...

Re: Cache Log Verbosity...
Longest log of 583 words on Secret Lookout by Zytheran Shortest log of 1 word on Yellow by...... Zytheran. I wonder how many people have both their longest and shortest logs on caches by the same owner! Average of 112 words per log .... Gee I must crap on a lot with my words in logs :oops...

Re: It seems bizarre to me ...
Does anyone know Team Nano so that we can get the full story straight from the proverbial "horses mouth."? :D :D I get the feeling that Team Nano couldn't tell you any more about what's going on than you'd read in this thread or on the cache page! I think a big thanks needs to go out to daysix for ...

Re: It seems bizarre to me ...
People, people, people. Let's not go casting aspersions upon anyone until we have facts. Why do I need to remind y'all (collectively) that flinging pooh before determining facts is not an acceptable behaviour here. Yes. Especially when this is Mollypoo's second log . Sounds promising that the cache...

Re: Most Recommended Caches
Okey dokey. It's up and running as part of the dashboard. The lists are limited to 10 things which is generally not a problem for a state as recommendations don't come in that often. If you want / need more, let me know. http://geocaching.com.au/dashboard/au/ http://geocaching.com.au/dashboard/au/s...
