With 1TB drive cheap now days a 2gig install is nothing. Hmm yes I do have a 1TB drive......... a number of them actually. All external and flagged as Geocaching, Music, Data etc. However Garmin does not let you install on these drives. And I am not sufficiently experienced to delve into the black ...

I'm a bit disappointed with Garmin Basecamp. With Topo Aus it is a 2 gig install that has to run off the C drive and having seen it run on more than one computer it seems to slow the system markedly. While you can select what maps to transfer across to the Oregon you can't section what maps you want...

HI I've been playing with this a bit today, as GSAK has a new upgrade that has worked on child waypoints. I'm still learning (and full of drugs after oral surgery, so excuse my non clear ramblings) but by following the child waypoint help file, I've now got all my child way points with the initial c...

Hi

I get an error when I try to run the 300 update - not a valid win32 application. I only get a 696k file where the garmin site says its a 712k file.

Usually I wait before upgrading, guess I will wait a bit longer, 2 new caches have just come up, been a while since a FTF

Hi CraigRat, I just love my 300. On our recent post easter trip to Bicheno I was saying to Sirius the only thing it's missing is a camera...... then there was a link in the forums to a 500 coming with camera. I'm managing very well with Shonky, Track4 and OSM for maps. As far as I know the 400 offer...

HI

I found the Redcross website snowed under today and couldn't donate. But if you visit your local KMart you can donate there. You can just rock up to a register and donate as much or as little as you like. So instead of my Coffee today, I made a donation.

If you copy the SD card for backup, and then something happens to the SD card, then whats the use of the backup?

After forgetting to charge the NavPin  and having to reinstall all the software and then create the queries and all the rest of the aggro involved we have seen the need to upgrade to an Oregon. (see Snuva, didn't take me long to convince Sirius I needed a new GPS). So now my question...

Motorola v3xx

Hi I've loaded ppquery to my v3xx using the v3x version and it seems ok, but have yet to properly test it. The only issue I had was the Motorola software wouldn't let me transfer, I had to transfer direct to the sd card. Thanks, hopefully with the data more readily at hand some impromptu caching can...
