Octapc are in WA here. They shipped a Garmin Vista HCx to me in Tassie and I was happy with their service.
They have a Garmin Oregon 550 - with free 1:250k Topo Map and Screen protector listed for $591.

Google Reader used to "watch" cacher's logs...
I use the Web-based aggregator Google Reader to allow me to follow the RSS feeds of certain cacher's logs (ie. http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/SamCarter.rss ) Google Reader has worked really well for this, until SamCarter found and moved Moving Cache Race - red tags entry . I read her logs as usual ...

Re: Locationless "finds" on a google map?
Could be blind... On the caches page under 'Software' on the right, click the 'Google Earth' link and you'll get all the finds in Google Earth. DOH! #-o OK, in my defence I had tried this on a number of locationless, and they kept on opening to this spot: http://lh6.ggpht.com/__uiWnF4gg3A/Sri...

Locationless "finds" on a google map?
I may be blind and am missing the big red button that says "PRESS ME!", but is there a way to display on a google map, or create a KML file for Google Earth to display the locations of finds for a particular locationless cache? For example, Australiania ( http://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga0936 ): I'd...

Re: TrigPointing
That is COOL! Great work everyone! :D My only disappointment is that my two nearest trig points (one only 5 minutes walk away) aren't in the database! #-o I'm very happy that Mount Maria, on Tasmania's Maria Island is there though; another reason to return, and do the CLIMB! Thanks again people! =D>

Re: Embroidered Caps and shirts
Hi Smegheads!Well, Smoke Me a Kipper, they look good! I'm going to have to crank up an old PC that I did my original artwork on, because it was in vector format originally, and I haven't needed that file since. Will start the hunt tomorrow! Might I have to enlarge the curved type to embroider clearly?

Re: Helpful Hints for Newcomers
You might need a #10 torx driver for the two torx screws, if the drive you are taking apart has them. Or be extreme, and drill them out like the guy in the video does! Ask your local computer repairer, or family and friends, for any dead hard-drives.

Re: Contours Australia 5m
I'm very excited! I love the 10m ones you've done! Just a question: Will it be available, as the 10m one was, on disk from the link listed on your downloads page? My Broadband plan is both slow and small download allowance-wise, so have no qualms handing over some cash to have a disk burned and mail...
