Help needed, I have done a user sort on a small data base of 91 caches, using the usersort field, but when I try to export this to a gpx file the sort is lost, is there any way to do a sort and keep it, so I can send the file to others. When you export a GPX file the waypoints are always sent to th...

Is it possible to get GSAK to prompt me when a cache gets archived or disabled, the same way that it prompts when a cache becomes available again? No - but it is "on the list" for a future update. Note: If you source GPX files are from Groundspeak, they only provide "temporyary unavailable" status ...

Tip: Google Satellite view Google maps do not yet seem to work for Australia, however the the satellite views seem to work for most of Australia (all be it with various levels of detail) If you want to get a satelite view of a cache in GSAK, go to Tools=>Otions=>Html and add the following: Google Sa...

Yes Version 6.0.1 <P> After loading a GPX file that effects data shown in the current filter, the data that is shown by that filter once the process is complete is only a small fraction of what should be displayed. I have been unable to determine the common factor. This does not happen when GPX fil...

Sounds different to your problem Maccamob, it only occurs when GPX files are loaded that effect the current active filter. If GPX files are loaded that do not effect any of the caches in the active filter, no problem. It has only started happening about two or three upgrades ago (can't remember exa...

I have noticed at times that the waypoints stored in GSAK don't match up completely with those on the GC.com website. Out by .001 regularly. My Dad (robtas) mentioned it a while ago and others on my team for the Dubbo Gold Rush found it as well. Is this a known bug? Not a bug, but a common rounding...

Clyde, I note with some practice that I can't duplicate a cache by a download. But, if I DO want to have 2 or more records, eg the Trig cache, then how do I get the 2nd or others to be recorded separately on GSAK ? Roostaman Waypoint codes must be unique in each database. If you want to copy a wayp...

Is it possible to have caches that are unfound (Virgin) assigned a different symbol when downloaded to the GPS unit? Yes. However, you are asking about the GPSr where as I think Riblits solution is using OziExplorer. To send down a different symbol to your GPSr, you need to use the icon override se...

I guess one way around is to do PQ's centred on caches at various points, this will then lead to doubling up on some areas though? Can GSAK filter this out?> Yes. It doesn't matter if your PQs overlap. GSAK will not duplicate the waypoints in you database, but rather intelligently update it and you...
