Re: In Car Navigators - Which is best?

I have a Nuvi 500 which I used for a couple of years. I also have a GPS62S which is new. I use both in different situations. A friend has a hand held GPS and is wanting to purchase an in car GPS which is also Geocaching friendly. Is there a newer garmin in car that is also geocaching friendly? I had...

Re: Iphone Geocaching vs Hand Held GPS

Caching on northern rivers NSW with an iphone is almost useless. I have one and love the fact that WHEN THERE IS SERVICE I have quick access to nearby caches. BUT more often than not when I get near a cache here I have no phone reception and limited wifi as well. SO the trusty GPSr comes into play 9...

Re: 2012 Goals

I have just reached 400 combined. I plan to reach 400 GC this year and am trying to make it to 500. I plan to cache on the leap year day so hope there are a few new caches around for that as it is a school day and I won't get away till after school. (teacher) I hope to hide a few more caches too. I ...

Re: How many found in between home and your nearest unfound.

My nearest unfound is 15.2KM away. I have a total of 47 finds and 2 hides inside this radius and there are no others to find. One of the features of caching out of the cities and built up areas. While I do live in a larger rural city we only have about a dozen cachers putting hides out up here so it...

Re: Frog Blindness Support Group

There is a frog in Lismore GA3731 - In the Night Garden. His party trick is that he glows in the dark, although we were seeking during the day. We thought we'd made a reasonable search of GZ but were worried that he might have been muggled in between being moved here and our searching so we posted ...

Re: Leap Frog registrations are now open

I need to find something to hold the log, kind of long and tubular. Not so easy, cause I never put out any micros. So never pay much attention to this size of container. :-k 8-[ I have bought a Bunnings Frog... For the log container I used a 70mm long bit of irrigation pipe with threads on it. 2 en...

Re: Geocaching.com Feedback: SHUT DOWN

I love visiting this forum and exchanging ideas with like minded people. But the GC forums are no where near as easy to navigate or find things on. It is even hard to tell which ones you have read or even visited before. I have been there a number of times and hope that each time I find it easier bu...

Re: Leap Frog registrations are now open

I spotted some great frogs yesterday. Pity I couldn't fit one in my bag. BUT I think the people at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary would have noticed it.

Re: "Dummy" cache placed near real cache by CO

There is a cache in Casino NSW that is called Decoy Tree. It is really tricky. There are at least 5 decoys there and the cache is actually in the easiest spot to get.

Re: Munzees!

There's am increasing number of people here too lately. I'm getting more and more captured notification emails, some cachers, but also new chums. On Saturday evening I deployed a munzee I happened to have with me. I was on a charter flight from Gold Coast to Lake Eyre. We stopped the night in Tharg...

Found a cute little frog yesterday just before I logged the ICEM Bangalow cache. Now I have at least one entry for this years race.
